First time eating at Denny’s and it was great! While nothing is special with the menu, food was hot off the grill (served in under 10 minutes) and coffee was hot (unlike some other restaurants)! The server was also pleasant and welcoming.
There was also a claw machine that my daughter and I tried but, as usual, we did not win any toy. It was ok though, something to pass the time and be entertained for a bit.

I was really disappointed with my meal at Denny’s. The meat was badly burned and tasted like straight charcoal. It wasn’t just overcooked—it was hard, dry, and extremely difficult to chew. Honestly, it felt like my teeth were about to crack trying to get through it.
I mentioned it to the server, and the response I got was basically, “That’s how it’s supposed to be,” which made it even more frustrating. No offer to remake it, no acknowledgment that something was off.
I get that things happen in the kitchen, but serving food that burnt and tough shouldn’t be brushed off like it’s normal. Definitely not the quality or experience I was expecting.

I enjoy eating late at night the worker was there nice and polite also she check in on us to see we need anything she was nice and cool and the food taste better than I thought, will definitely go back

The nachos were very good, well served, crunchy and with good flavor in the sauce and toppings. All fresh and well presented. Excellent attention from Martha, very friendly and attentive throughout the visit. Very good experience in general, recommended.

Hello everyone I just wanted to come on here and share the excellent experience I had today ! When I first walked in, the host was very welcoming had a pleasant manner of welcoming me in! As I was sat my server was excellent! They were on top of it they made sure my drinks was filled and my food was warm which I loved ! In other places I always receive my food cold but not here ! Another thing that I noted and really appreciated was the restroom being very clean and put together ! This was the best Dennys location I’ve been to !

I love dennys! But this place has to try harder. (I hate to say that)… Im from socal and just moved to SF. This is the only Dennys in the area so I went. I was debating whether to go or not because it was miday on Sunday and at least in socal, diners are packed all day during weekends. I drove 20 mins, worried about how long the wait-time would be, but when I got there they were more than half empty, at 1pm. They sat me down immediately and took awhile to come back for my order. It seemed, no matter how empty it was, they were still slow. They had several employees, a different one helping me each time (1 taking my order, 1 bringing my food, another with utensils). Seemed very unorganized. Its just astonishing seeing how unorganized and slow they were when it clearly wasnt rush time. Another negative thing I noticed, was they were mopping right next to me while I ate. It was miday… couldnt they wait untill it was nearer to closing time or when there wasnt a customer eating food right there? Another thing which could be both negative or thoughtful gesture, was they brought me a leftover container and my check before I even asked for it and when I was only halfway done eating. Sometimes thats a nice gesture when the restaurant is packed and the server is overwhelmed with guests, but as I will mention again, the place was more than half empty. If the server was going on break or leaving, it wouldve been more professional to ask another server to take over. Adding on to the bad service, I also noticed the few times I was asked if I needed anything else, it was a rushed question while the server was walking by. Most of the time I didnt know they were talking to me because why would you walk past me if you were asking me something? Servers usually do that when they dont actually want you to ask for anything more. I am usually very nice in my reviews, but it is insane that the serviced sucked… and it WASNT EVEN BUSY. These servers would not make it in socal diners.
Food was regular dennys food, love it! It was not cold, but noticeably not fresh. Each dennys is a hit or miss, what makes up for it is the quality of service and this place was disappointing. I hope I dont have to go back but it is the only one in the SF area.

Do you remember? We used to have a Denny’s in Japantown SF. That place was great for a meal after clubbing and seeing the same people you just partied with. That was the best part, seeing familiar faces. Fast forward to today. Coffee is $4.29. We had the T-bone steak and eggs $23.19, berry vanilla crepe breakfast $17 and chicken fried steak breakfast $18. The food was OK. The service was a bit slow because the place was full at lunchtime. Overall, not bad. Good job crew at Denny’s.

The server Monica was so pleasant. She was always attentive and made my morning great with get smile. The prices and for what you get was worth it. I really enjoyed the stuffed strawberry French toast, is order it again.

It was horrible my tenders were burnt the server brought us coffee cuos stained with old coffe stains asked server to switch she said dont worry just stained and refused and to top off a piece of hair was in my husbands omelette

Honestly, they don’t even deserve 1 star. Martha needs a lesson in service. All of the ppl working there were chatting and having a good time, meanwhile all the customers were just waiting to be attended too. It took over 5 mins for her to come take our order. btw there were not that busy. It took over 15 mins to get eggs and sausage links with toast. I don’t normally not give a tip, if service is bad I will just give 10-14%. Martha don’t come back to the table once after dropping our food. Which I couldn’t even eat bc the eggs were so over cooked they tasted burnt. That wouldn’t have happened if the cook was paying attention to what she was doing in stead of them all gossiping and laughing in the back. That whole team should be fired and all new staff replaced with ppl who care about service. But I guess that’s Cali for you, no one here cares about anything but themselves.
