Dive Denny’s. Understaffed or don’t care, not sure which. But when we got in, the restaurant only had 2 other tables seated. It took a few moments to get recognized and seated. Then another 5 minutes for drinks and placing our order. 15-20 minutes later our food showed up and the meaty melt sandwich was looking like a brisket sandwich, not the slow-cooked roast with onion. My son ordered the chicken fried steak and when they brought out his food the waitress said they were finishing the steak. 20 minutes later, still didn’t have the rest of my son’s meal. We were ready to go, so I told the waitress to not even make the steak since it appeared it wasn’t cooked yet. I told to please just charge me for a regular breakfast and bring the bill since it would be a waste to cook it as we are only staying one night and won’t eat it now. Instead, they proceed to cook the product and come out and ask if we’d like it boxed to go. Again, we said we just want the bill and to leave. Another 10 minutes goes by before my husband had to remind them of the bill. I walked out because I felt like I wasn’t heard. I didn’t even complain about getting the wrong sandwich for myself. We really just wanted to leave. Staff needs better training and more staff to serve the customers.

Our waitress Amanda was very nice and helpful. She answered our questions with a smile and happiness. Dawn had Crepes (like I didn’t see that coming) with scramble eggs, crispy hashbrowns, and bacon. I had the best skillet around. Bourbon Chicken Skillet. It was cooked to perfection with golden brown chicken breast that was tender and juicy.

It was terrible from beginning to end. We waited for a half hour. They sat us in the back by a broken window and it was freezing!!! Our waiters uniform was dirty, table dirty, coffee cup’s dirty, and we had no condiments. Food was Luke warm and the waiter left us, never came back. I will never return. Dirty Dish Award for sure!
