Subsided Voice
After I waited about 10 minutes to be seated I had a lady seat me and then just left after waiting another 15 minutes for our drinks I went to another server ( Cassie ) that was working on the other side of the restaurant. She got my drink order immediately and my food order right in. The food and service we received after our initial issue was amazing! I did notice that Cassie seemed to be the only one really hosting and waitressing. I’m not sure why they don’t have an actual host working so the servers can focus on service. Overall my experience was good because of Cassie. Normally we have Amy as a server but she was out.

Food was excellent. The servers and cooks were great, Shelby specifically. Very prompt and came to us quickly, and was nice. The restaurant was extremely busy due to the fact it was Thanksgiving, but we still received our food very quickly and well-made. 10/10.

My fiancé and I arrived around 2:00 a.m. I understand it was late; however, I am six months pregnant and was craving a Grand Slam. We waited approximately 30 minutes without any acknowledgment from staff. Before we decided to leave, a staff member finally asked if we needed help, despite employees walking past us and clearly seeing us waiting. I replied yes, and she said she would be right back. After waiting an additional 10 minutes with no follow-up, we chose to leave.

As someone who has worked as a waitress for several years, I have never provided this level of customer service. I felt extremely disrespected by the lack of attentiveness. I would have understood if the restaurant were busy, but there were only two to three small groups present. Because of this experience, I will not be returning.

This was NOT a good experience for our family. Might be some people’s cup of coffee but it wasn’t ours. The outside appearance seems nice & may pull you in if you’re use to Dennys & a regular at other establishments. In my opinion, they’ve went WAY down hill from what they once were. Upon entering the place was steady with customers on each side but not packed/crazy busy by any means. We stood there so long my husband asked if we were to seat ourselves. I responded no that we wait. A few moments later a voice yelled across the place, someone will be right there. We waited. After being taken to our booth, it wasn’t any of the quiet available seats, it was next to a party table family and we were seated in the center of many others which wasnt even the start of the worst of it. When I sat down, it was like a toilet with the seat actually missing beneath the cushion on the bench, feeling all the surrounding springs. There was a large “rear” sized hole in the missing seat so I slid to the window seat where there was a seat. My husband ordered coffee which wasnt warm. If you require sugar, you can locate that on a table nearby. The restrooms leave a non wanted parting gift of a grease/oily residue on the soles of your shoes to ice skate around the place. It was unclean to say the least. We realize we should’ve left and will never return.. On to the food. Hashbrowns tasted chemical wrong like a very old bag of pretzels or graham crackers with a potent smell that is trash worthy past expiration & not ok. Our eggs were good. Toast was fine. (Thats what I had to fill up on and a $15 meal. Bacon seemed to be the pre cooked thin packaged kind & yet fatty. Sausage was edible but nothing to brag about. Ham, I tried but couldnt stomach. Same with pancakes. Idk what was so off about them but gave each several tries & something wasnt right with them. I felt sick to my stomach last nt, understandably. Disappointed doesnt even begin to describe this experience. Left hungry & didnt want food. Very loud. Dark with a foul smell that seemed to be a part of the atmosphere.

A lady in the kitchen was eating food on the line. Our server was nice but was tweaking out. My fries was overcooked. The service was ok, like I said the guy was nice but you know, he couldn’t stand still, it was very common to yell across the restaurant too which wasn’t pleasant.

Had my order delivered. I had the country fried steak. The steak was very good, it came with two steaks so was a lot of food for me. Would be nice if they offered a one steak dinner. I will order again I am sure.

I usually have an alright experience at dennys with my friends, but i don’t think i’ll ever go back tonight. I ordered a medium rare steak and it took an hour for our food to get to us. My steak was completely well done and so tough i could barely cut it, and i’m a person who likes a lot of pink, so i asked them to recook it and 5 minutes later they brought me back an uncooked steak with seasoning on it. i’m completely aware of what a medium rare steak looks like. It might not look raw in the photo, but trust me it was freezing cold and completely raw. i have never once complained about food or service before. but this was ridiculous. We never got checked on and had to chase down workers when we needed anything, even during our hour wait for our food. my friend only got chicken and fries and she said they tasted old before i even cut into my steak. my eggs tasted perfectly fine as always but i’m disappointed with our customer service and we didn’t even receive an apology, he would just drop off our order and go sit in the office.

We were visiting Vincennes for friends birthday and needed some pick me up food in the morning. We had the best service and food ever. It was really busy in there, food took a little bit longer however coffees were always filled waters were filled and they did the best they could. That’s how you manage your business.
