Solid food and service though was surprised by the high cost of the oysters and cocktails especially for the casual/laid back ambiance the restaurant offers. We had oysters, the shrimp cocktail, the Jersey Clam Chowder, the charred bread and fish tacos. Oysters were solid but range between $3-$6 for 1 oyster. For example, paid $24 for 4 west coast oysters, another $17 for 4 east coast oysters, etc. The shrimp cocktail was okay but overcooked. The clam chowder was amazing – unique and absolutely delicious especially with the charred bread. The tacos were solid though a little salty but adding lemon helped balance things out. I would probably check other places before coming back here next time we’re in LBI but we didn’t leave disappointed. Just surprised when we got the bill (since they don’t have the prices listed with the oysters). We ended up spending as much as we would for a higher end restaurant with a water view.

The service and food were outstanding! We interacted with 3 waitresses all of which were very cool and provided helpful feedback as well an info about Happy Hour (which well be back for tomorrow!). I ate the lobster mac and cheese. Girlfriend had Mahi tacos. This may be the best food on the island. Setting had excellent 80s-early 2000s music at a good volume. Crowd noise is loud inside…but there is outdoor seating to avoid that! They also have their own Habanero hot sauce…excellent!

Food and atmosphere were great, but I set myself up for disappointment! My partner and I came for two dishes that were listed on Google (fried clams, cheeseboard), but were no longer on the menu. Always check the website for the most up to date info! Not so options if you aren’t into seafood as much. I had the crab Rangoon dip as my meal, and while it was delicious, I would have enjoyed myself more with something else.

Discovered this phenomenal FIND a year ago and we went back again yesterday, and oh boy it certainly didn’t disappoint! Some changes to the menu but it is one of my favorite dining experiences on the island. The oysters are ridiculously good! We absolutely loved the tuna tartare and the crab fried rice. YUM!

Everything here is to die for. The Oyster options are fantastic, the other dishes are equally amazing as well. We had the dry aged burger, the whipped ricotta and the octopus, everything was delivered with immense flavor and looked very well prepared. Service was great and the drink selection was great as well.

One of the best meals I’ve had in a very long time! We stumbled upon this place on a spontaneous last minute trip to LBI. We walked in around 6pm and there were already only a couple tables left (it quickly filled up after we were there). We ordered a dozen oysters and then based on the server’s recommendations we ordered the Whipped Ricotta and Crab Fried Rice… and were wow’d with every bite! Everything was so flavorful and the portions were huge! We really felt like we got our monies worth. We also ordered a couple cocktails and they were made well and delicious. The serving staff were incredibly busy and everyone seemed to share all the jobs to make the service go smoothly. There was definitely a line (on a Thursday night in the off season) so I can’t imagine how busy that place is during peak season. We will definitely be back!

I had an amazing experience at Delaware Oyster House and I wish I had discovered it sooner!! We started with oysters – 2 of each kind. We also had their unique clam chowder which has pork roll and Johnny long hots in it – it was delicious! We also ordered the crab dip with wonton chips and it was so tasty! Finally, we had meatballs with bread. Everything we had was amazing and we will definitely be back soon!!

Best clam chowder we’ve ever had. I wish I hadn’t gotten the fish tacos, which were perfectly cooked and beautifully presented but were way too salty for my taste and could have benefited from a more flavorful, larger amount of black bean purée or a rethinking of the black beans….plus a more generous amount of the perfectly cooked corn kernels. Great service …I just wish the bartender hadn’t recommended the fish tacos.

Menu used to be good, now it’s not so great. Drinks are ok, tacos are bland. Cesar salad had old lettuce. Staff was eating takeout food right next to meals being prepped. Kitchen workers texting/touching their phones and then plating dishes without washing hands. Workers in the back had gloves on so props to them. Overall, not so great compared to what’s around.

This restaurant used to be an island staple. It has now transitioned into a touristy spot. The food quality has not declined but the prices are too high, and the restaurant is getting greedy. For example, serving a dip with a side of bread, not giving enough bread, and then charging for an extra side of bread.
