However, while the service and ambiance shine, the food unfortunately falls short of the mark. On my visit, I opted for the Reuben sandwich, which arrived notably without the customary pickle or dressing – a surprising omission that left the sandwich feeling rather dry and incomplete. My friend’s steak and eggs, while a classic, also lacked significant flavor, leading to a somewhat bland experience.
Overall, California Classic Cafe has its strengths in its warm and inviting environment and the excellent service provided by its staff. If you’re looking for a comfortable place with friendly faces, it certainly delivers. However, if your primary focus is on a memorable culinary experience, the food may leave you wanting more.

This place is amazing, though small, it had a lot of heart. It is the quintessential small town American diner. Where the staff great their regulars by name. Where everything is made fresh. With plenty of open seats, old music and Highway 66 decor, this place feels like an escape where you can find yourself chatting up a local about some novel thing happening around the world.
The food was great. Plenty of options you’d expect. Made fresh but quickly. It is all well proportioned well seasoned. I had the country fried steak and eggs with a biscuit and gravy. It was crisp, it was meaty, the gravy was creamy, my eggs were perfect and the biscuits was soft and fluffy. And I never once needed to ask to have my coffee refilled.
I can’t recommend this place enough.

Although it’s kind of a hole in the wall, it has great ambiance inside and seems like a local favorite. We were just stopping through and were very impressed with the food! The Latin dishes for example the chilaquiles and chile verde were amazing and we were so happy to have tried the strawberry milkshake too- delicious! the waitress was efficient, nice, and also had beautiful eyeshadow ✨

First time at the C.C.C., and it did not disappoint! This place has a big menu with plenty of breakfast and lunch items. I ordered the breakfast trio, and she ordered the Menudo. Both were on point. In fact, my lady said it was the best menudo she’s had in the high desert to date. And she’s Mexican, and we’ve tried quite a few places. The service was amazing, and their prices are very fair, economy factored in. Needless to say, we can’t wait to come back and try out some other items, cause they all look delicious!

The food was excellent! I love that they offer phone and pickup orders—it was super convenient. Everything was hot, fresh, and tasty. The staff was attentive and even gave great recommendations. I love that they are located in the same parking out as us it makes quick lunch breaks so easy!

I visited California Classic Cafe for the 1st time yesterday. I can happily say with confidence that I look forward to my next visit. The service was fantastic and the food was delicious. They’re menu is one that any breakfast lover will enjoy, they have lunch options as well, but that breakfast menu is stacked.
