This place is located in the food court at HMART. Ordered kimchi fried rice. Came out quick and was tasty. The fried dumplings were sad and just filled with glass noodles. Shared this with my wife for an afternoon snack. I’d come back and try other food.

This positively one of the worst bowl of noodles I’ve ever had. The beef was hard/chewy, the bean sprouts raw(this isn’t pho), and the broth plain. For $18…

Dduk Dabang in the H-Mart food court offers a variety of Korean and Asian dishes. Both the ramen and nasi goreng come in generous portions with plenty of toppings, making for a satisfying meal. However, the taste may vary depending on personal preferences. The ramen is filling and offers a rich flavor with its toppings, but some may find the noodles a bit too soft, and the cheese a bit overwhelming. As for the nasi goreng, while some enjoyed it, others felt that the rice was a bit too soggy and the seasoning could have been stronger.

Tteokbokki was tasty, but please don’t order the combo. The fries were so disappointing (it did not taste like butter garlic fries & it looked so different from the ones they sell in Korea). The drinks were extremely sweet and had artificial flavors.

T1 is tasted like a little bit spicy but very delicious. I really recommend it for everyone who can accept spicy food. Perfect for sharing with friends, it’s a satisfying blend of flavors and textures that brings warmth and delight to any table.

Got a large Beef Brisket Topokki – perfect for 2 people and it was delicious (& a bit spicy!) we thoroughly enjoyed sharing this large pan of beef, ramen, tteokbokki, shredded scallions, fish cakes, egg & dumplings. The flavor has a nice kick and I definitely needed more water but I wouldn’t change the spice level. I also got a Kimchi Triangle rice ball but was too full to eat it! I dream of this now and can’t wait to come back to try some of the other flavors.
We luckily came on a Saturday around 2pm so it wasn’t busy or crowded in the food hall at Hmart so seating was easy to get. We also got a cup of the Mango Ade which was refreshing.

Their signature very long rice cakes “noodles” are unique but very inconvenient since I have to cut them into bite sizes myself haha. I ordered Beef Brisket Topokki. Each topokki dish comes with fried dumplings, fish cakes, cabbage, scallions, ramen noodles, 1/2 boiled egg. Medium serves 1-2 people and large serves 2-3 people. Very spicy but AMAZING.
Their (pork cutlets) are crispy and juicy. Love the sauce that comes with it but it’s also very good with topokki sauce. 🙂

I really like dduk dabang. It’s my favorite of all the HMart restaurants. I think it’s worth the price which is like $15 a person. Yes you can buy the components in the store and make it yourself but clearly you aren’t if you’re eating in this food court lol I like the mala flavor the best but it is fairly spicy so be warned. Their rice balls are also good.

I am not quite sure why this place is rated so poorly. I had the brisket toppokki and it was amazing. Came with brisket, mandoo and long rice cakes. The medium was enough for 2 people to share. I would definitely coming back if I am back in DC again.

Update: yup. I got food poisoning. 1 star. I’m never going back here again. Please read the remaining review for details.
I know this is a food vendor inside of a grocery chain but this is hands down one of the worst ramen I had in a long while. Customer service is lackluster (some old Korean uncle who is not interested in working, beef is not flavored at all, the broth tastes like a shin ramen packet but is weaker since they put way too much water (not a broth), and the vegetables taste like frozen vegetables thawed into the broth which makes the taste even weaker. They didn’t bother adding more soy sauce, sugar or hell even hot sauce would have made it better. I swear to God if I get food poisoning from this, I will update to one star.
