TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

I was excited to try this place! Waited quite a long time for mediocre food. All empty tables were dirty. So, I poorly cleaned my own. I took a few bites and did not think it was worth the calories then ditched it in the rubbish. Shake machine was broken.
Steady stream of folks walking in as the location is on the newer side.
Wouldn’t go again unless it was late at night and the only option. Kind of a bummer.

For $10 this is cheaper or the same price as a much less quality sandwich from McDonald’s Wendy’s etc. when fresh this is a nice balance of crunchy, well seasoned and moist chicken. Would recommend. We had no wait at 1pm and staff was friendly. Crinkle fries are nice and seasoned.

Waited 40 minutes for take out food. Everyone was waiting around for food. Tables looked dirty and staff apologized for wait. Fries are salty and way too seasoned. Chicken pieces were super small pieces. It was like appetizer size. Don’t recommend place.

Just another overhyped and expensive sandwich fast food joint! The sandwiches were decent but nothing special about it, especially considering the long 40-minute wait in the cold. The staff did their best to manage the overcrowded sulking faces, but overall the experience didn’t match the expectations or the cost.

We used to like this restaurant because the food was good and the portions were reasonable for the price, but today’s experience was very disappointing. There was something on the chicken, so I showed it to the staff and they said they would replace it. Unfortunately, the replacement piece was mostly just the outer skin with almost no actual chicken as shown in picture The salad portion was also extremely small — the container was almost empty.I paid $70 for food for my family of four, and the amount and quality of food were not enough for us.
This was not the quality or value we expected, especially since we’ve had better experiences here and in Seattle before.

Tonight was our 1st time trying this place. Nice and friendly staff, loong wait. Processed chicken that is terrible, overly salted and seasoned. Fries are the same, low quality with a lot of season salt. Again, the staff was very friendly and kind!!

Got here early at 11 on a sat morning. Line was short. By the time we were ready to leave, it was almost to the door.
Food was pretty good. Not much for my vegetarian kid though. Mac and cheese and fries. The hot honey saucy bites were the best part. Light , crispy batter and a hot and sweet flavor. Buffalo was a miss since they were not tossed. The buffalo looked like someone just squirted out some sauce on fried chicken.
Knocking a star off for service. I requested a glass for water and was told I need to purchase water. The soda machine had a slot that said water as did the iced tea dispenser. Also had to take my cheesy fries back since they forgot the cheese.
