TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

I was very disappointed, I had heard good things about this establishment but they totally messed up my order of smothered French Fries. I have issues with Buffalo Sauce and specifically asked if I could get the chicken plain, no sauce which they said they could do, it was even printed on the receipt. It took quite a while for our order to be processed (to their credit someone just before us had a $500.00 order) but by the time we received our food we were pressed for time and had to leave. When I opened the box I discovered everything including most of the fries covered in Buffalo Sauce. The 15 fries I was able to dig out of the bottom of the meal were good but not worth what it cost me. Very disappointed, I believe they would have fixed the problem if I had asked but my schedule didn’t allow.

The ambiance is pretty cool in this place. Service was nice and friendly. Got the loaded fries, mild flavor. They were pretty good, just had a bit much of pickly flavor, which is not my favorite. The sandwich was medium flavor and was surprisingly spicy already, but still good flavor.

It was our first time here. The place was clean, the staff smiling, and the food was great value for money. A simple menu based on chicken. “Not chicken” consisted of cauliflower pressed patties.
Expect food based on the name and you won’t be disappointed, although they do offer varying levels of ‘intensity’. The portions are generous, the food is great and real (chicken), rather than ‘pink meat’. Shakes and slushies are offered, as well sodas.
Overall a fantastic visit and an amazing first impression. If you like Popeyes, the varying levels of heat and are willing to experience another in the same food category (although if truth be told I’m not sure if these guys offer wings, thighs or biscuits?), give Dave’s (hot chicken) a try… it’s likely you will leave wanting to spread the word, and return.

First time here so wasn’t sure what to expect. Atmosphere was neat, cashier overall was nice. Not impressed that the meals don’t come with a drink and was not told that, spent over $25 after taxes for 2 meal that didn’t come with drinks for that price you would assume a drink is included. Also not impressed that I ordered the number 4 that says 1 slider with fries served with kale slaw and pickles, I asked if I could substitute the kale slaw with Mac n cheese which she said was no problem. Got the order and I didn’t get fries because she said I subbed the fries for mac n cheese, that’s not I took the number 4 to be. Overall food wasn’t too bad but be forewarned that the meals don’t come with drinks and watch what you order or verify before completing your order. Not totally impressed though.

Super cool that athey are open until 11pm. The seasoning on their chicken hits different. Crunchy breaded, hot, and juicy chicken.
Both times we have been here, the young men that attend the customers are fast and friendly.
Cool decor. Lit up and fun. Only thing I would say is that someone could be cleaning off the tables when customers leave.
We will be back.

Nate provided amazing service; he was very welcoming and accommodating. We didn’t have to wait long for our order. The fries were crispy and well-seasoned. Overall, it was great!

Meh… first and last time here. It looks good in pictures but it was not that good. Is was more like a pickle sandwiches with a side of over fried chicken. The hype for this place is ridiculous. Even Raising Canes has a way better, tasteful chicken. It’s too overpriced and doesn’t even include a drink. A huge disappointment… The shake machine was not working, the dining room was dirty and the service was incompetent with the exception of the cashier (Zane) who was very polite, greeted me and took the time to walk me through the menu.

The honey + sauce + pickle + slaw is the perfect pairing.
The Cinnamon toast crunch shake was the cherry on top. So damn good.
