Dante’s Restaurant was BEYOND PERFECT. All food is delicious , flavorful to the max, soft, tender and juicyyyyyy and the owner Vincent Russo is super helpful and super professional. Shout out to chief Raffa who prepare the best food ever in a short time to a party of 12 people, shout out to chief luis for all exceptional service. Excellent. Excellent food with best prices. The Penne Vodka was one of my favorites amongst the Italian food spots I’ve visited in the past it was Delicious and I LOVED IT. Best shrimp scampi I’ve had! Got it was a flavor overload. Chicken Frensica was juicy and there was a generous helping over it overtop. The Mix salad was a texture I had never seen before. Even the sausage onion pepper was killer. Fantastic flavor on everything. I loved how thoughtfully everything was packaged. To prevent any spillage, there was a piece of parchment paper placed atop and every container was wrapped with plastic wrap to keep it closed. Dreaming of coming back,thank you for everything

Having gone to the old Alexus Steakhouse over the years, we figured we would give this new place a shot. First thoughts when we walked in was it was definitely more upscale than Alexus was ( thankfully) big nice bar with ton of TV’s to watch. We sat at a table, and looked over the menu which is a kinda American/Italian mashup.
We ordered some Calamari and meatballs for apps. Calamari was good ( was a thai’ish sweet sauce) but the meatballs we outstanding ( would go back for those again, suggestion please include bread with them for the sauce)
Then we ordered our mains, the Dantes Steak Sandwich and the Rigatoni with guanciale.
The steak sandwich was very good, high quality steak cooked perfectly, a bit too much goat cheese on it, but def would order again. But the fries were the standout for us, double cooked and really really good.
Then we dug into the Rigatoni with vodka sauce and guanciale. Pasta was cooked perfectly al dente, the vodka sauce was very flavorful and it was loaded with a ton of guanciale.
Overall we both thoroughly enjoyed the food, the new renovations, and the very nice staff. Definitely will go back or recommend to others

First time visiting Dates. My first impression was that it was a formal restaurant, but it’s actually an upscale sports bar. The bar is large and modern with professional bartenders. My favorite drink was the cranberry mule. The decor is stunning, and the service is excellent. I’m a big meat lover, and the ribeye was incredible. I’ll definitely be back.

Great food! Shrimp cocktail was huge and delicious. Wagyu beef sliders were cooked perfectly; loved the Coccoli and bar pie (more like a margherita pizza). $86 for 4 apps and 2 beers- great quality and served quickly.. worth it in my opinion. Love what they have done with the place and I’m looking forward to seeing it with a bit more character- could definitely use some personality, but that will come with time I’m sure. Menu is enticing and I’m excited to try more! Glad to have this new addition to Clifton. Service was great. Aly, Laurie, and Lenny were all attentive and welcoming!

Dante’s offers Clifton a new dining experience, geared mainly towards Italian food. The meatball appetizer was very good and came off as authentic Italian. The salmon and chicken Milanese main courses were also very good with creative sides. The main issue at this point, which may just be a case of “growing pains”, since the restaurant just opened up two days ago, was the lack of a cocktail menu and even a wine list. Hopefully that is rectified the next time we visit. The space / atmosphere is clean and nice, but could use some extra decorations to warm the place up a bit. The service was excellent, 5 out of 5. Will definitely visit again in the near future.

Lunch at Dante’s was incredible.
We started with the meatballs, tuna tartare, and Wagyu beef sliders — every appetizer was a hit. The meatballs were tender and full of flavor, the tuna tartare was fresh and perfectly balanced, and the Wagyu sliders were rich, juicy, and honestly hard to share.
For entrées, I had the beet salad with chicken — fresh, satisfying, and really well done. He ordered the salmon, which was cooked perfectly and full of flavor.
Dessert sealed the deal: ricotta cheesecake that was light and creamy, and zeppoles that were warm, fluffy, and impossible to stop eating.
Drinks were just as good — the lychee martini and mojito were both perfectly made.
Overall: amazing food, great drinks, and a lunch we’re already talking about going back! ✨
