Perfectly hospitable and friendly staff with jaw dropping and mouth watering options for all steak lovers! The Tomahawk is likely the biggest steak anyone’s ever seen – weighing in at 52 ounces! We enjoyed our time working with them for a recent menu photo shoot.

Our dinner was phenomenal!!! We had the braised beef tips with a lot of beef over noodles. It was the BEST I’ve ever had in my life and should have bought several orders to freeze to go back home with us. Another had fettuccini Alfredo with chicken which he certainly enjoyed but he loved the dinner rolls (best he’s ever had) with cinnamon honey butter. The restaurant was very nice inside and sold local artists goods. Oh, I wish they were not 2.5 hours away!!

All four of us ordered our steaks at medium and all four arrived medium well to well done. Taste was good but would have been so much better at the correct temperature. Then we ordered four desserts to go. Opened the raspberry cheesecake container to find a plain cheesecake. The other three were correct. We were on vacation so will not be back, but were we to travel this way again, I would order the same thing, just emphasize medium, with a dark pink center. There were images framed on the table with the expectations of each temperature so we certainly expected our steaks to be correct.

Absolutely perfect!! We were driving back to our rental from a hike and saw this restaurant. We decided to have dinner there. It was the best decision!! I had the filet and my girlfriend had the sirloin. Both cuts were super tender and cooked perfectly! Everything was delicious! The salad, there sides, the steaks, and of course the desert! We sat in the bar area and couldn’t have been happier. The owner and his wife (and his dad) were sweethearts. They truly made us feel like we were one of their regulars. The evening couldn’t have been more perfect with great conversation and a superb waitress. We will definitely be back to Dan’s steakhouse whenever we are back in town!

Decent steak house with good cuts of beef. The steak was cooked to our liking and very tender. My kids enjoyed their brownies and ice cream for dessert but the blackberry cobbler was more like pie.

Stopped on our anniversary trip. Excellent food. Got steak / chicken combo. The owner, Neal, obviously enjoys what he does. Prices very reasonable for quality and quantity received. Dining area clean and well kept. A relaxing unpretentious place. My wife and I found ourselves lingering after the meal, talking to the staff and enjoying the time.

Found this place by chance while camping in the area. What a pleasant surprise. I ordered the New York strip and my boyfriend had the seafood special of the day. The food was cooked to perfection. The scallops served with the special were among the best I’ve ever had. ( That’s saying a lot considering that I’m from Miami, FL where fresh seafood is always on the menu. ) The cocktails we ordered were mixed just right and the cinnamon butter served with the rolls was to die for. Lastly, Neil and Kathy treated us like old friends. If I’m ever in the area again I would definitely return. If you are looking for great food and friendly faces…. you must stop by this gem of a restaurant!!! Tell them Maria from Miami sent you. You won’t be disappointed. Finally, thank you to Neil and Kathy for a wonderful time!

Horrible. Waited over an hour for food that wound up being disgusting. Burgers were over cooked, only about 10 fries and the beef tips and noodles were greasy and gross. Another table got their food and got angry and got up and walked out. Three tables that came in after us were served before us. We were told there was only 2 waitresses which is not our problem. Read reviews that say how horrible they treat their employees so it’s no wonder why they can’t keep employees there. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else!!!
