When your picky 11-year old daughter chooses to finish her steak over the delicious chocolate cake, you know it’s good! I can’t think of one thing that could’ve been done any better! She and I ordered from the menu and my husband had the buffet. All of it was excellent! Service was wonderful also. Friendly and accommodating; no one was without anything.

Fine dining prices for casual diner food. Fried shrimp had the breading half off when delivered to table, and the other half falling off when picked up, the cocktail sauce was so full of what I could only assume was gelatine that I could stand a French fry up right. The tea was good, and so was my husband’s Malibu sandwich.

If I could give Daniel’s 6 stars out of 5 I would! We arrived in Hiawassee around 7:30pm last night and were referred to Daniel’s as they were still open as the rest of the town rolled up the sidewalks. Me, our good friend Marvin, and my Great uncle Jack Pierce arrived expecting to get a quick and rushed bite to eat before the doors closed at 8pm but we were pleasantly surprised. We arrived about 7:45pm to a near full house and were promptly welcomed and seated. The food selection was great and as we were in line one employee mentioned to a guest not to worry, as nothing would be taken up until the last customer was finished…not the attitude most other businesses have today. All of the staff had smiles ear to ear and were genuinely invested in their job and customers. As we were leaving, Jack (who loves to sing) offered to sing Diana (at the register) a song and one thing led to another with Blake coming out with his guitar to play along, never giving us any indication we were imposing on closing time. Jack shared some WWII stories from his time in the marines (1942-1945) and we eventually made our way to the hotel. Jack insisted we go back to Daniel’s tonight, which we did. Diana and staff greeted us with smiling faces and tonight’s service was just as great. Mindy took great care of us and despite her workload she ‘stopped to smell the roses’ while Jack sang her a song from his repertoire. After another great dinner and fellowship, we made our way to the counter where Jack visited with Diana and sang her one last song. In today’s world it is seldom that we experience businesses with core values that are expressed in everything they do, and it is an understatement to say that Blake stands behind his Christian values and ensures that this extends through his employees all the way down to the customer. Keep up the great work Blake, and don’t ever let anyone tell you that standing up for what you believe in doesn’t show and isn’t worth the battle.
Thank you all at Daniel’s for blessing Jack with a great experience and God Bless!

Very accommodating! The servers were awesome and attentive. The food was made delicious! A small error was made on their part and they quickly fixed it. Made up for it. Also gave a free dessert for the troubles. Thank you for the hospitality! We will definitely be back!

Very special place, great food, wonderful people. Renee and Shantel took very good care of this old man. They had a nice buffet, but I really wanted the New York Strip steak tonight. It did not disappoint. Trying to support our local businesses as we get used to the new normal. Won’t You Join Me?

It was OK, im thinking a little pricey for the buffet and what it consisted of. Our service was excellent with brought it to a 3 star.

Daniel’s Steak House is now my go to place for great country cooking and wonderful customer service. I would eat there every day if I was closer but 2 hours away leads me to only drop in once a week 🙂 I really appreciate the fact that you can see many different Bible verses and prayers throughout the restaurant. I was thinking of buying a house up in Hiawassee anyway. Daniel’s place just sealed the deal.

The only reason my rating is a 2 instead of a 1 is because our waitress was nice. My family and I are visiting Hiawassee for Thanksgiving and decided a nice steak dinner would be good after all that turkey. There was a menu for Daniels left at the cabin were staying in. This place should not be called a steak house. When after you order your steak the waitress asks if you would like steak sauce before even getting your food, we’ll just say it’s concerning. There are 7 of us in total, 6 adults and 1 child. My daughter was excited to get fried chicken and mashed potatoes from the buffet. The chicken was moist but a little lacking in flavor. And 1 of the 2 legs she ate was a little under done which I didn’t realize until after. The 6 adults all ordered steak, sounds like the right things to do at a steak house, right..? Nope, wrong. 3 sirolins, 2 prime ribs, and 1 rib eye. All 3 sirolins were orders medium well and all 3 came out rare. 2 prime ribs were ordered medium and came out rare, and 1 rib eye was ordered medium and came out very rare. Our baked potatoes were good except for mine which was burnt. And for a buffet there was limited options. Pictures are included and speak a thousand words all on their own.

Wife and I both had the buffet. Excellent choice of vegetables. Service was exceptional (Robyn). My tea glass was never close to empty. Cashier (Brenda) was friendly and cordial. Have been eating here for almost ten years. I believe they have raised the bar again. Thanks for a pleasant meal with friendly conversation.
