This DQ location is terrific. Very friendly staff. It can get very busy but it’s worth the wait. The Oreo Dirt Pie is my favorite. The blizzards, shakes, and classic soft serve ice cream with sprinkles all hit the spot if you’re in the mood for a nice cold treat.

The nite crew here was so RUDE even the girl who took my order smiling while giving the other workers “mess with his order vibes” straight outta WAITING.. If you can,… go to westbrook/clinton one! I really HELD OFF in writing a bad review because I eat alot of blizzards there and the day crew has always been wonderful.. Our favorite spot for the full line of DQ ice cream treats. This summer, they’ve got a full crew working 2 windows so when long lines appear, they move along quickly. Tip jar is labeled “College Fund” so I was happy to contribute to the crew’s higher education. Peanut Buster Parfait made with a twist and extra fudge is a winner with us.

Never really had a bad experience at any Dairy Queen, this is the first time I’ve been to the one in Old Saybrook.. the place was packed and two long lines.. but it moved quickly, the staff was friendly and my Georgia mud pie Blizzard was excellent
