Was greeted once I walked in, with a smile(Alejandra G. Was the cashier)!
Order was taken, and repeated back to confirm it was all correct.
I waited maybe 2-3 minutes for the food, and it was all very fresh.
Fries were hot and the burger was great too!
Service is top notch, food is the best! Atmosphere is amazing too. For a DQ, this place is the cleanest and best looking around. Even better than brand new builds.
Keep up the great work and I’ll see y’all again soon now.

Order a combo meal. Ask for tots instead of fries. They upcharge.80 cents to switch. No problem. Get it home and this is what they call a large tot. This is a DQ that keeps on giving. BAD SERVICE.

Located right next to the highway exit. The restaurant was very clean. Witnessed the crew member cleaning the outside windows. The floor inside was clean as well as the restroom. The orders were cooked after you order. French fries were hot and crispy with a whole cup full of ketchup. The grilled chicken sandwich was piping hot. The burger was hot as well with icy cold lettuce. The $2.99 sundae was enough to complete a fulfilling meal. Highly recommended.

I worked at this place 50 years ago. Every time I’m in MV, I always come in. Tonight I ordered a steak finger basket, waited quite a while, and when I got to the place I’m staying it was chicken. The breading was thick. When I called, the girl offered me to come back, but I’m leaving town early and didn’t want to drive all that way. I come once every year or so. I later called back and requested what I ordered and was sending my wrong food back. The Mgr informed me that the girl that took my order put chicken down and that’s why I got it. I shouldn’t be penalized for her mistake. It’s after 7pm, I leave at 4am and I’ve sent someone there to get what I originally ordered. I’ve never experienced this before and it will make me think twice about ever going back. This is my hometown and I have a bad taste in my mouth the way the Mgr acted. So many employees there and the service was not good.

I checked in a hotel up the street around 9 pm and decided to get chicken and dumpling since it’s a comfort food and what I thought would be a pleasant end to a stressful day. Unfortunately, that was not the case because I was sold SPOILED AND SOUR chicken and dumplings. I did not return the evening and said I would bring it to them in the morning because I didn’t want to run the risk of receiving even more ROTTEN food. BIG MISTAKE. The manager on shift couldn’t be bothered with me and did not even speak to me personally. She told the cashier to tell me that she’s not willing to do anything bout it. Absolutely horrible. I will be disputing the transaction with my credit card due to the quality issues. If your passing through Mt Vernon Texas, do yourself a favor and don’t stop at Dairy Queen. They’re wonderful everywhere in Texas EXCEPT Mount Vernon!!!

Went through the drive through at 1:07pm. Waited 20 minutes for a burger, tacos, chicken strips and a kids grilled cheese. There was no line in front of us and when I went inside to see what was taking the food so long, there was nobody in line inside. There was 5 workers working on 2 orders. No apologies on the delay. Do better.

Terrible customer service! Went in a place to order had the order read back to me which it was read back correctly so figured it was entered correctly but when I got home 20 minutes away two of the three orders were completely wrong so I drove 20 minutes back to Dairy Queen to get the correct order asked for a gift card or a discount or something. Asked for some type of compensation for driving 20 mins back to town and she said couldn’t do it and I would have to talk to Joe . Terrible Customer service..

My very first job was at Dairy Queen in my home town of Hubbard Tx. So needless to say, I LOVE Dairy Queen. Through the years, it seems like quality, service and atmosphere have sadly depleted. I still keep trying new ones though.
Mt. Vernon’s Dairy Queen did NOT disappoint! The friendly patrons were obviously locals and had reciprocating friendliness of the employees. The long history of football team photos took me back to our home town Dairy Queen where my hubby and I graduated some 31 years ago. The restrooms were clean as was the dining area. The kitchen and ordering counter were fully staffed and there was very little waiting to be served. The food was hot and brought in a timely manner. Everything was perfect!
Will definitely stop here again!

I tried to give this dairy queen another shot, but boy do I wish I didn’t. I came in tonight around 6 and the manager was the most disrespectful person I’ve ever met. She was very rude not only to me but to her employees working. She also made weird faces to one of her employees while taking another persons order. This Dairy Queen needs to rethink who they have as managers. Needless to say I will never come back to this restaurant
