Dairy Queen in Fayette has officially re-opened. The restaurant closed in July of last year after numerous management and facility issues.

It seems like the restaurant is going backwards a slowing down. But as far as myself, we had good service and the food was great. I think it varies a lot on certain days when you have enough people working there or not.

Sat in the drive thru for over 10 minutes and no cars moved an inch in that time frame. Thought we’d give it a shot and was disappointed. We drove to another town to get food. Too bad the McDonald’s is gone, their service was better than that DQ seems to give.

Today we waited in the lobby with 4 other families for over 30 minutes for our meals. They kept serving the drive thru as opposed to the lobby. We eventually had to get refunded our money and leave.
We love having the conscience of DQ, but need to ensure everyone is served equally!

this restaurant’s drive thru is supposed to close at 10. It’s 9:40 and they haven’t been serving for 15 minutes to anyone in the line. They could have made over 500 dollars with how many people were in line. Ruined our evenings out of laziness. There was a big event at the college and could have got lots of customers. Disappointed so many people. They should feel ashamed. The workers had not sympathy and ignored everyone.

I’m glad that they finally upgraded Dairy Queen. It was well overdue. I went through the drive-through today and the food was fresh and I got through the line pretty quickly. Which was good considering there were about six cars in front of me. In the past that would’ve taken 45 minutes. Overall, it looks nice and definitely a lot better than before.
Edit to my review: The upper portion of my review was from opening day. It seems the same standards are not met after that. We have went a couple of times and received half melted ice cream. Another time I had ordered shakes that are supposed to come with whipped cream. Instead of just telling me they were out of whipped cream from the start, the employee caught an attitude when I asked about it. Tone is everything people. If you hate your job, don’t work there. The wait times are also back up to over 30 minutes in the drive thru. I haven’t ordered any hot food since opening day but I’ve heard it is not worth it because it will be cold.

Waited 15 min in the driveway once order was taken and paid for took 10 min and when we received the food half of what I ordered wasn’t there had to park to go in and get the rest of my order that they knew they forgot and once I arrived home my burger had 3 – 4 strains of hair in it also the bun had finger tips dug into them most disgusting place ever the renovations haven’t done anything if your employees aren’t doing there jobs right the employees need a renovation for themselves I am going to report this facility to the health department

The nice lady who manages on Sunday afternoons has her act together and makes sure the entire staff does a good job. This is why i keep coming back. Food is always good and hot. Tables and chairs are clean. Good service inside.

this particular Dairy Queen has recently been renovated. on that note they did a fantastic job. The inside looks amazing. The staff on the other hand needs a little renovation themselves. I think after the Covid thing happened there’s so many businesses that have lost out on great employees that were there for a long time and knew their job and we’re good at their job and now the world is stuck with the dregs of society trying to make a dime to make their bills. what we received for our order was a disappointment to say the least. I think their service and their food will improve over time.

The young man at the drive through was friendly and efficient, the food however.. COLD fries. Not fully cooked fries. Burger so sloppy with too much ketchup. They need a true manager to properly train them and learn correct fry times. Three of us each got a different carbonated drink. They were all 3 horrible. Way to much carbonation, no flavor at all.
