This restaurant is in YMCA, serving decent Thai & Chinese food, which only open at lunch time 10:30-3:30. I didn’t know this place before, but it turned out that I’m having very good experience with their food. They offer a very large serving of food and the taste is very good. The price is ~$10 per plate including Rice/PadThai + 2 toppings + 1 eggroll/drink. However, they only have ~8 dishes. Overall, I like the place and would recommend it.

I have loved and frequented this spot for over 25 years. Today was the first time I have been back since the new owner took over. I am sorry I didn’t get his name but he was delightful. I bought 5 orders of shrimp pad Thai for myself and my family. The new packaging and portion size were amazing! The pad Thai was even better than I have ever had. I can tell the products are quality and the spice was perfect. I am so glad I came in today and so is my family who was able to drive home over an hour and half and heat it up. Would highly recommend and will be back!

I had really high hopes for this place and I have been wanting to try the food for a while because the reviews are quite good and the food looked pretty good as well, but unfortunately the food had a very bad taste 🙁 the flavor of the tofu pad Thai reminded me of the smell of formaldehyde, it was very chemical-y and it tasted like something was wrong with it. It was not only bad, but inedible and it is unfortunate because the quantity was quite large and I had to throw it away. I think most of the positive reviews are quite outdated, so I would not recommend going now.

If you want real Thai food do not go here, it’s basically cafeteria Thai. Very greasy and almost no flavor, bottom of the barrel pad thai. for a college place I guess it’s fine but at 10 dollars for a plate of greasy, tasteless carbs, not worth it. The Thai milk tea was good, save yourself the trouble and don’t order anything else, :v

Excellent food with fast service. I really like the eggplant as well as the General Tso’s chicken. The portions are generous and staff are friendly. Perfect spot to grab a bite to eat between classes.

My experience is limited to the lunch service with fried rice/pad thai and a choice of meat and vegetable toppings.
The staff are always remarkably friendly, the price is quite reasonable, and the quality of the food at the price point is much better than I initially expected. The eggplant medly topping, in particular, is quite enjoyable.
The venue offers dine-in and to-go options, although the dine-in options seems to provide a significantly greater volume of food – nothing I can complain about, to be sure.
The location is convenient to the west side of the UIUC main/south quads – Gregory, David Kinley, and Lincoln halls in particular – and is no more than a minute’s walk from two major bus stops on Wright. As a graduate student with an office nearby, this is a favorite of mine for a very filling and enjoyable lunch if I haven’t had the time to prepare something at home.

In the past it’s quite cheap and convenient Asian food, but recently its price raised dramatically, so I would rather take bus to choose ISR or Ikenberry canteens for one more favorable lunch
