Food is always fresh. So many fast food places cook the burger patties in the morning, and they are dried out by later in the day. This place makes them fresh. Great hotdogs, served on the English buns, and the BEST French fries you’ll have ever eaten.
All DQs are different, of course… and this one is WAY above the others. Worth going out of your way to visit. 🙂

Two words: slaw dog. This Dairy Queen is a Bluefield institution. I grew up eating hot dogs here as did everyone else in Bluefield since 1959. The bun is the same, the slaw is the same, the chili and the wiener – all the same. McDonald’s wishes they could be this consistent.
Last time I was here was about ten years ago, so we decided to stop by as we passed through on I-77 this week. Oh am I so glad we did. It was just as I remembered – the tastes, the smells and even the way they take your order.
If you live here, you already know. If you’re passing through, take the extra 5 minutes and stop in for some slaw dogs – they are the best you’ll ever have!

We waited 20 minutes to even receiver order and once we got it it was missing the cheeseburger. I love Dairy Queen but this one is the slowest and most inefficient I’ve ever been to.

So I come in to treat my two toddlers to some ice cream and a dude with bleached hair walks up to counter and says nothing. No “hi”, no “ hello, welcome in, how may I help you”, no anything. He actually doesn’t even look at me. After a minute of him just staring at piece of paper while holding a pencil I ask, “umm are you taking my order, or?”. He finally looks at me and just gives me a snooty look. It was very disrespectful.
I had requested to talk with a manager but another worker told me they had just left the building.
Several minutes later after we received our items and were eating a lady did come out and asked what happened and offered an apology. So I’ll bump the service stars up to 2 but the first person you encounter at any business should happily greet the guests instead of ignoring them.

The staff was super friendly but the blizzard wasn’t the best the ice cream tastes like it had been thawed and refrozen
