It’s nothing fancy, but I felt right at home at this place. The food was served quickly and was hot and fresh. The fried bologna is cut thick, my favorite. There’s history here and you can see it in the photos on the wall and the memorabilia from the town for decor. We’ll have to come back one day for ice cream!

While visiting Reelfoot Lake for a fishing trip, a friend and I went looking for dinner. We found this place on Google maps and drove the 20 minutes to give it a try. Upon arrival we were skeptical as the outside of the building didn’t have much curb appeal. But the parking lot was full of cars so we decided to go in and check it out. My friend and I both ordered bacon cheeseburgers with fries. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Probably one of the best burgers out of a restaurant I have ever had. Freshly ground and smashed on the grill just like at home. Neither of us could finish these extra large burgers. Large homemade pie selection by the slice or whole. The sweet tea was perfect. And only $20 for 2 plus tip. We will probably return there every night for the rest of our trip. I definitely recommend this small, unassuming “greasy spoon” if you are in the area.

I’m very puzzled by the glowing reviews. We were very underwhelmed with the food. It is very inexpensive so it has that going for it. Maybe lunch and dinner is better but for breakfast I can’t recommend it.
