Two times now I have been blessed enough to eat at the amazing Dagwoods. Let’s just say, your girl lives in Fargo, my brisket sub was so good, I’m tempted to drive to Watertown just to get another one.
The meat looks to be cut daily. The vegetables are fresh and crisp. The in house dressings are a perfect topper for any of the subs.
First time I ordered the brisket flatbread. 5/5 for sure. However last time, I ordered a brisket sub with cheddar cheese, bacon, onion, green pepper, dressing, on wheat. It didn’t even make it back to Fargo on my drive from out of town.

Dagwood’s is hands down my favorite sandwich shop and lunch place! Great food, good value and fast service. The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars is because of their recent 3% “non cash fee”, which has caused me to skip going there if I don’t have cash in my wallet. Just add it into the menu price, please. Otherwise, Dagwood’s is awesome.

If you are in Watertown a must stop. Or if driving down I – 29 worth a little side trip into town. Great subs. Had the pastrami. The bread is very good. Had a soup bread bowl as well. Stuffed. Very good fresh baked bread. Excellent taste. Highly recommend.

Ate here before a flight out of town. It doesn’t look that big from the outside but ample seating and spacious when you do get inside. The ordering process is cool – you fill out a colored card based on what meal you want and hand it to the clerk. I had the meatball sub and taco in a bag which literally was a taco in a dorito bag . So good. Everything was flavorful and fresh. Would highly recommend this place if you’re passing through Watertown!
