I had the pork plate with baked beans and slaw and sweet tea to drink. The plate comes with hush puppies too
The pork was really good, and I enjoyed the sauce. The baked beans have some meat mixed in and they were great. I would prefer a BBQ slaw or “red” slaw, but the cole slaw was very good (I ate all of it). The hush puppies were great. The tea was nice and sweet.
The atmosphere and decorations were awesome. There is sooo much to see!
I didn’t have any beer, but they have several options and a full bar as well!
There’s a heated outdoor patio with a fireplace, big screen TV, and clear plastic to keep the heat in. It’s pretty neat!
The staff were friendly and the food came out quickly.
They can also seat parties of up to 8 people, so that’s a plus.
I will definitely eat there again when I’m in the area.

Ordered takeout so this review is based on on-site ordering and the food. The ordering was seamless and smooth. Good customer service. The food was bomb . One of the best burgers and fries. The ribs tender and flavorful. Will be returning when back in Gaffney SC.

and menu recommendations. The wife had the Calabash Chicken plate with wedge fries and potato salad. I ordered the Calabash Shrimp with Chopped BBQ, wedge fries, and BBQ Slaw. If we ever get back this way, we will definitely come back for seconds.

Found this place on a lark & I only wished I’d found it sooner! The absolute best pulled pork BBQ I’ve ever eaten! The sauce they pair with it is sooooooo good! The ribs are AMAZINGGG. When I tell you they melt off the bone, they MELT! Plenty of meat & the flavor is one of a kind – Whoever their Pit Boss is, give him a raise Their Baked Beans are the BEST I’ve ever tasted. We have ate in house once & ordered out 4 times. Take out is just as good as dining in. Dining in, there’s a great vibe. They do a fresh, hand squeezed lemonade & it is my favorite drink to get when I’m out ! The box of hushpuppies is such a great value too! You’d think you were at a restaurant on the coast of Virginia Beach, when you bite into their hushpuppies
The only thing I have had to say….. The BBQ slaw….. is not consistent. Taste or consistency. One day it’s diced perfectly & seasoned beautifully. Another it’s chunky diced & flavor is off. If you get it on a good day, it’s phenomenal! Best around.

On our way down to GA we decided to stop at Daddy Joe’s Beach House BBQ and Grill for lunch. We were seated quickly and our server, Marisa, immediately came over to take our drink orders. She was so personable and attentive. Marisa took our order and our food came out quickly. My husband and I had BBQ sandwiches, my older son had the special Ultimate Hamburger and the younger one had chicken strips with fries off the starter section. The food was delicious and their BBQ sauce was excellent. We even tried to find it online to purchase off their website but it was not available. They really need to bottle and sell that BBQ sauce. The restaurant was busy but not overly noisy. The decor was charming. We will definitely be back again! Oh and Marisa was just terrific! Our drinks were always full and she made sure to check on us during our meal.

The atmosphere and service were really good. The food was just mid though. The bbq was nice but needed sauce. The hushpuppies were dry. The pickle chips were pickle spears and not crispy but limp. I would not order them. The coleslaw definitely was not for me.

I would like to say this is a hidden jewel of a restaurant but that’s not the case as it has a few thousand reviews already. We arrived on a Saturday night at 6:30PM busy time we were seated in a timely manner. The waitress arrived at our table within a couple of minutes to take drink orders. From this point on we witnessed some of the best customer service from all their employees with customers we have seen in a long time. We were never out of tea our waitress would check on all her tables every time she brought something out. The floor managers I would assume both of those ladies would walk to each table and ask how was everything (twice during our meal). I witnessed one of them personally bring a appetizer to the table next to us and comp the appetizer for them as she said it should have not taken that long which we thought was within a reasonable time. My point is you can eat at a restaurant and have bad service and it ruins the whole experience and makes the meal terrible. But with excellent service the meal just taste that much better. Now our meals were over the moon in taste and pourtions. Most everyone we saw had to go boxed.This will be one that we will be returning to more often as they have every aspect on how to treat customers and prepare a great meal
