Today for @pinoy_rice_boy’s birthday lunch, we went to @daddydsbbqnc! This was the perfect place for get our bbq fix! I did have some not too long ago, but I am always down!

2 Meat Plate (Mine)
Pulled pork, house made smoked sausage, collards, handcut fries, and hushpuppies.

2 Meat Plate (Jenn’s)
Pork spare ribs, brisket burnt ends, potato salad, handcut fries, and hushpuppies.

2 Meat Plate (Jerremy’s)
Pulled pork, burnt ends, baked beans, jalapeño cheese fritters, and hushpuppies.

Everyone here was so nice! When you first walk in, you get that wonderful smokey smell. They had 4 sauces at the table to choose from. Sweet, east Carolina, hot, and mild. Along with ketchup and Texas Pete!

The pork was shredded and left in longer shreds. I loved it! It wasted good by itself, but I am a guy who loves vinegar based sauce, so I added that to it. The sausage was my favorite part of the plate! It had great flavor to it. It was a nice course grind. Nothing too chunky, though. You can see the seasoning and stuff in it! The collards were all I wanted them to be as well. They were cooked perfectly. Nice and tender with a good bit of vinegar. The hushpuppies were nice and crispy. The outside almost reminded me of the way the sugar Chinese doughnuts taste, lol. I love good hushpuppies. I can’t get enough handcut fries, so you can’t go wrong there. The burnt ends were sweet, smokey, and cooked to perfection. The baked beans had the same sauce on them as the burnt ends. They were sweet and they were better than I expected. They were probably the best baked beans I have ever had.

You should 100% make the drive out to Fuquay-Varina for this.

From the moment we walked in, the service was welcoming and top-notch — you could tell they truly care about their food and their customers. But let’s talk about the flavor. The pulled pork and brisket? Absolute perfection. Smoky, juicy, and seasoned to impress even the toughest BBQ critics. Every bite was a melt-in-your-mouth experience.

The mac and cheese was rich, creamy, and cooked just right — not too soft, not too firm — with a flavor that hugged your soul. The hush puppies added a delightful contrast with their light, sweet crunch that had us reaching for more. And those fries? Sure, they were on the thinner side, but they stayed crispy and full of flavor even after the drive home — a rare feat!

Portions were generous, presentation was solid, and everything tasted freshly made with love. You can tell this place takes pride in doing BBQ the right way.

Hands down, this is the best BBQ spot in Fuquay — possibly the entire Triangle. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this is one of those rare must-try joints that will have you planning your next visit before you even finish your plate.

We’ll 100% be back — and next time, we’re bringing friends.

Wonderful service and a really great waitress, who allowed samples and I appreciated the history she shared with the formation of the restaurants. I normally dine at the Benson location.

We loved the brisket, collard greens and hush puppies. Plus an honorable mention to the banana pudding. Sweet Tea is perfectly brewed.

I got my usual baked beans (not much brisket added here) and pasta salad.
The burnt ends were a little firm for my taste.

But shout out to Miss Janice who we hear makes the sides. We loved the collards and especially the pot liquor. You did your thang!

I’m coming back to pick up a plate for Christmas. Ordered a single plate. Had brisket, collards, green beans, garlic mashed potatoes, side salad, hush puppies and chocolate chess pie for $25.

We tried The Granddaddy, with every meat option, green beans, mac and cheese, collards, baked beans, and both loaded baked potatoes (pulled pork, brisket). And the banana pudding. All good. We’ll definitely add this place to our monthly roster.

Usually excellent but take out is 50/50 at best. Poor cuts of brisket either dry or extremely fatty.
Best to eat in.

Here we go again! Look at these to go ribs!!!

Kid’s Corn Dog with a side of potato salad and 1/4 pound of Beef Brisket tasted amazing. I love that the potato salad is NOT sweet!!!❤️❤️❤️The side of potato salad and 1/4 pound Beef Brisket were a lot more of a portion than I expected. Prices are reasonable and food quality is always fresh and delicious!! A must try location! UPDATE 1/20/25 1 Hotdog ATW tasted great and I love the toasted bread! Mac & Cheese, Baked Beans and 1/4 lb Beef Brisket all tasted amazing BUT all the containers had pieces of greens on them which I did not order! This indicates to me the employee needed to change their gloves or wash their hands!!!!!! UPDATE 7/4/25 1/4 lb Brisket was only 2 pieces for over $8.00 when last time it was 6 slices at the same thickness and price?!?!

Bry was a great server! Offered to pack our desserts so we could indulge back home and pass out from being full the atmosphere is so loving and lively. The burnt ends are so tender and perfect. Collard greens just right. They take the gluten allergy very seriously! They change gloves and separate area. I’m sure they take other allergies seriously as well! ☺️

This place is pretty good for the price and really hits the spot when you have a hankering for brisket! Our waitress today was Synae and they were very friendly and smiley! Checked on us a few times for refills or if we needed anything, the restaurant wasn’t very busy when we came in and we got to snag the lunch menu prices! Food was delicious especially with the sweet barbecue sauce they have at the tables! They have men and women’s bathrooms and a big parking lot out front with plenty of parking!

We used Daddy D’s BBQ to cater our wedding and we could not recommend them more! They are a reasonable option for catering, with high attention to detail and prompt responses throughout the wedding planning process. The food is also great in house for a night out to dinner at either of their locations. We highly recommend Daddy D’s to everyone, and BLAKE is your contact for catering – he’s awesome!
