Not a bad first experience, but some things can be improved on. Ordered Buffalo Wings but sauce was more watery than thick. Sausage had flavor, but was very dry. Tri-tip could use some more flavor and grilled chicken was good. Great presentation and customer service but unfortunately food was not up to par in comparison with competitors. (+$60)

It was all OK… The tri trip and pulled pork was pretty moist. Portions were good and the value of my meal excellent.
The Mac & Cheese didn’t dry out and the corn (IMHO) was very very good…couldn’t eat the bread which seemed like a basic, grilled hot dog bun.
The worse part are the water cups, so tiny… I had to make 4 trips to the cooler to refill. Hated that part.

I had the rib plate, very meaty pork , fall off the bone ribs, I picked Mac & cheese , coleslaw as my sides, both were excellent.
My husband had a tri-tip sandwich with corn bread. He said the tri-tip was perfect , not fatty. Everything had good flavor and the customer service was great. It’s a very casual place. People were placing takeout orders. Will different be back.

First time trying cv BBQ. I was really impressed. The service was great. I was greeted when I walked in and the server came to check on us to make sure we were doing ok. The Mac n cheese was so yummy. I got the 1 meat plate with Mac n cheese and a caesar salad. The dressing is homemade! I can’t wait to come back!

Disappointed. Lacked any smokey flavors/aroma.
Ordered the 2-meat plate for lunch today (9/11/2025). Got the Pulled Pork and the Tri-Tip as the meats. Deviled Egg Salad and Cole Slaw as sides. Order came with two pieces of toast. See photo below.
Meats lacked any smoke notes and both were severely under seasoned, same for the sides.
The pulled pork was moist, but again lacked any BBQ/smoke flavor. I suspect they “plate” it with a hit of stock after heating. Again it lacked any seasoning.
The Tri-tip was also moist with a few bits tasting peppery. It was also tender, but that was it. No crust, barely any grill/char marks. Cook on it looked perfect, but again no taste-umami.
The sides were more of the same, no seasoning. The Deviled Egg Salad barely had any egg in it, mostly mashed potatoes. The Cole slaw was fresh, but the dressing lacked any vinegar or mustard notes. Again both lacked seasoning.
Location was clean and the service was friendly and efficient. Plus 2 stars.
$20.55 with a canned soda provided ok value, just not tasty. I guess you just pour on the BBQ sauce for flavor.

Our first time here, but not our last. We recommend the tri tip and pulled pork. We sampled the chili, which we might order next time. We shared 4 sides – all delicious- mac n cheese, bbq beans, potato salad, and corn off the cob. We kept saying how good every bite was.

We hired CV BBQ to provider catering for our parents’ 60th wedding anniversary party. Sean and his team were incredible to work with in putting together the right menu for our event and helping us fit within our budget. Communication was fantastic, which is no small task considering we held our event in the middle of the crazy music festival season and CV BBQ’s busiest time of the year. Sean and his team came early to set up a beautiful serving station and then returned on time with absolutely delicious dinner and appetizers, served our guests, and then cleaned up and packaged up leftovers for us. The tri-tip and crusted Mac-n-cheese were favorites, but everything was amazing!! We are so grateful and appreciative of their professionalism and the terrific and delicious BBQ and will absolutely hire CV BBQ again. Thank you Sean and CV BBQ Team!!!

Needed a good BBQ fix while in Indio and found a great spot. Not only was the BBQ tri tip off the hook good but the staff was great! Noemi was excellent at walking me through the choices, go see her, this is a great stop.
