I order pizza, cinnamon pull apart, and garlic knots. Driver slurring his words comes to my door puts his pizza bag on the ground picks up the pizza, cinnamon pull apart, and garlic knots with one hand from the floor and then everything flops face down on the ground. He then proceeds to pick it back up and try handing me the order. I told him “no I don’t want that” he then goes like “well your food is here” so i said “I’m not taking that” so I closed the door. For him to text me saying “you’re foods outside lmao”. I just want Papa John’s and other customers to see who they have serving food to their consumers. Thank you to the manager Matt for understanding and sending someone back to pick it up off the floor. However I will not be ordering papa John’s anymore especially this location.

Disappointing Experience at Papa John’s

I want to express my disappointment with a recent dining experience at this location. My order, placed on September 2022, left me dissatisfied due to the remarkably small portion size of the food I received. I ordered five medium-sized (12-inch) pizzas. I received five personal-size pizzas in medium-size boxes.

Not only did this impact the overall value for money, but it also left me and those who I was serving feeling unsatisfied and disappointed with the experience. I believe that consistency in portion sizes is crucial for customer satisfaction and loyalty.

I would appreciate it if you could investigate this matter further and take steps to ensure that such discrepancies do not occur in the future.

So, we were initially going to get tacos at Taco Maya, but a poster on the window of the neighboring Papa Johns caught my attention. “CHEESY BURGER PIZZA.” I was struck by desire and something ravenous inside of me awakened and I was on the mobile app ordering myself one before you could say π.

I ordered the Large Epic Stuffed Crust Cheesy Burger Pizza with no tomatoes and extra onions. The pictures don’t do it justice—you just have to try it on your own. I mean, come on, do I really need to say much? Also, I had been wanting to try pickles on pizza, and this was the PERFECT opportunity. They were the STAR of the show.

There was so much deliciousness packed into that pizza box. They used a burger sauce instead of the typical marinara as the base, and it just accentuated the cheesy burgery goodness of the pie.

Would recommend to eat with Taco Maya’s jalapeño salsa and a can of root beer. Because that’s how i ate it and it SMACKED ME SIDEWAYS.

As a kid I grew up on PaPa John’s! I moved to the suburbs and didn’t think we had one, until I found this gem! Ordered 4 times and by far the best, no mistakes, always quick, and friendly!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS!

Unfortunately I never got to actually eating, or even taking home the food for me to comment regarding the food quality. But I can surely tell you from the experience that I will never step foot in this establishment again given there are a lot of other local competitors offering the same food. I recommend others to also take your business to another establishment that actually values you and respects you as a customer. Clearly the overall 1.5 rating of this business (on yelp) and 3 star on google tells you all you need to know about it. Looks like another customer (on yelp) on 5/24 had the exact same issue that I am reporting and seems like he was dealt with the same disrespect that I was dealt with. Another one with a similar issue (on yelp) on 8/19 last year.

I placed an for a total of $19.97 and wanted to redeem the local flavor certificate I had bought for $10 for $20 worth of food (Certificate & Terms pictures attached). After redeeming the certificate on my phone, he tells me I owe him $11 & some change. I told him my total was less than $20 and I was redeeming a $20 certificate, so I should only be charged tax. The man stated that this certificate was for $10 off and I he’s given me the $10 discount on the order. For those of you that have used groupon, livingsocial, localflavor and many other similar service, you guys know how these deals work. I tried to explain him that I already paid the $10 to local flavor and in return I’m supposed to receive $20 of food. He argued back telling me I don’t know what I’m talking about and how the deal works. I showed him the terms (picture attached) yet he still argued and started to raise his voice in disrespect.

I understand that misunderstandings happen and businesses don’t realize sometimes how these things work. I as a customer would be annoyed but still understand if the business said they’re not accepting this deal or what not. I may have asked if they have any other deals going on and still get what I came to get. But telling me I don’t know what I’m talking about with a raised voice isn’t one I’m going to tolerate. So I ask for the manager for this person to tell me he is the manager. I told him he really needs to read the terms of the deal which clearly say for my $10 paid value, I am to receive $20 worth of food. He tells me, yes, so give me the $10. I told him I’ve paid that to local flavor and you need to get it from them. He tells me local flavors doesn’t give me anything and I don’t want to deal with them. (This same business has the exact same deal with Groupon also so I’m wondering if the Groupon customers get treated the same way.) I ask for the man’s name since he mentioned he’s not just the manager for this location, but rather the manager for the area. He refuses to give me his name. He voided my order and I told him I’d like a copy of the voided receipt and refuses to give that to me and just hands me some order number without any info. I ask again for the name, the man refuses and says I don’t have to tell you that. If you’ve done nothing wrong and are the manager following your normal process, why refuse to provide a name. Nonetheless, to make sure I can report the incident properly on reviews and to the corporate location, I took a picture of the man (also attached).

It isn’t the $10 discount that got me annoyed but it is the man first refusing to listen, then telling me I don’t know what I am talking about, then raising his voice to tell me he’s going to cancel my business and asking me to leave the store or “he’s going to call the cops” is what gets me. I can’t tolerate disrespect. Hence the reason why I’ve taken more time than what $10 is worth to ensure that I post this information about this business accordingly and also report them to the Papa John’s Corporate Office (To which this man said it doesn’t matter because they’re going to “tell me to call you and I will tell you the same thing.”)

I live 6 miles away from here and there are 2 other Papa John’s pizza near me. But here the pizzas taste the best and people are kinder. All the Papa john’s stores would have same doughs and ingredients, but among the 9-10 branches, here’s the best ! Especially today I met a female staff, and she took care of me with more delicate heart! Rose, I’m S. and appreciate your kind words & services! Since I found Papa John’s pizza in 2012, I eat only its pizzas and you’re the best ! Next time, I’ll try the NY pizza and the Epic stuffed crust pizza, too !
Be healthy and happy for everyone !

Terrible customer service experience. I thought I might have a better customer experience walking into the store and ordering, but it was quite the opposite. I walked in and asked if there were deals tonight and was quoted $ 10 dollars for a large pizza. After ordering, they ended up charging me the full price. I didn’t realize that until after I paid, and when I asked them about it, the cashier just said, we told you the price, and that was it. Don’t even bother ordering in the store. Just go online and order, or call it in.

The staff was incredibly rude. There’s a picture of a “manager” on a review from 7 months ago. This same manager was extremely belittling for placing an order at 11am. He kept asking why I want pizza for breakfast. Would not recommend this location.

Edit: After 4 years, I was really craving Papa John’s so I came can to this location and they were fantastic. The staff is a million times better
