I can only but highly recommend the Curry Rasoi Reading Indian Restaurant.
You feel very welcomed and the highlight is its rich, authentic flavours and fresh ingredients!
I usually dine in and it’s ideal for family gatherings or for a single person.
I ordered the Vegetable Fried Rice, a soft textured of mix vegetables; cooked in.
As a condiment option, I chose the Raita; a smooth bowl of Yogurt with cucumber, mint and roast.
It was good value for money, but above all; it was deliciously fried and served with gusto.
I did not feel rushed to leave the table and made it for a nice and filling dinner.
I’d highly recommend it!

First time visit. A very small restaurant, but was nice for a change. We booked a table online. We chose this restaurant because of the positive Google reviews and a Scores On The Door of 5. Plenty of parking up and down the road. The restaurant was very clean and tidy. We had a nice table for two near the window. The background music being played was very nice and the volume just right. Our house white wine was very nice, priced competitively and actually was a Casillero del Diablo. I had the Lamb Vindaloo, must admit, it was one of the best I have had, and I have tasted MANY. My wife had the Paneer Makanwaia. If I’m being picky, the poppadoms could have been a bit crispier and fresh. The manager “Danny” was very friendly and attentive. We had a chat about their food ingredients, very interesting if you are into Indian food. It has the all important top score of 5 for the Scores On The Door Food Hygiene Rating Would we visit again…Yes !

We had a lovely time at Curry Rasoi. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable (particularly helpful when trying to accommodate for my partner being vegan) and the food itself was delicious.
Although nothing is labelled vegan, if you ask they can adjust various dishes to fit your needs.
The fish goan curry was amazing, as was the biryani. There were no weak links though and we’ll definitely be back again.

Visiting the University from New York, and firmly believing that Indian food is so much better in the UK than the US, I tried to find the best Indian restaurant in Reading and landed on this place. I was extremely pleased. The dishes I had – chilli paneer and lamb chops curry – were bright and lively and bursting with flavor. Service was great and it was fun to chat with the manger/host/owner about why the US-UK difference in quality might be real. Wish I’d been staying in Reading longer for another meal!

Great hidden gem. Amazing Indian food. We have been coming regularly for the last 3-4 months and the quality of food, and more importantly the taste, is spot on! The chicken and lamb dishes, lamb and chicken biryani, paneer dishes are all top notch! And the staff are very warm and friendly 🙂 this has become our new favourite from the first visit.

I loved this place, it’s my new favorite restaurant. I’ve tried the butter chicken, tikka masala, and rogan josh, and each one was excellent. The “medium” spice level was hotter than I expected, but still manageable.
