I have been to this restaurant twice with my wife. We were impressed both times by the quality of their food and service. Some of the dishes that we had tried were chicken jhol momo, goat sekuwa, goat sukuti, samosa chat, chat papri, kashmiri naan, gajar ko halwa, gulab jamun & pistachio kulfi.

Pros:
I have tried samosa chat in many places: Niralla, Des Tardes, Bombay Café, Saran veg café, etc. to name a few. Hands down! This place has the best samosa chat in town. It is probably because the chickpeas that they use is fresh and as per the owner, they don’t use canned chickpeas like other restaurants. I like how they added peanuts in their samosas. Most places only use potatoes and green peas. Thanks for going the extra mile; it does make a difference in terms of taste. Goat sekuwa and goat sukuti were packed with bursting flavors. I loved them. The little onions/tomatoes gravy that came with the sukuti was pretty good. It enriched the sukuti flavor. Goat sekuwa was perfect too. It seemed like it was marinated well. I could feel those spices. Kashmiri naan was delicious. I loved it both times. Gajar ko halwa reminded me of my mother’s cooking; so homely and delightful. I took the halwa leftover and my mom said it tasted like GudPak(a famous sweet in Nepal). That was a great compliment from her!

Some constructive feedback:
I would suggest adding some slices of lemons on the goat sekuwa plate. Chat papri needs some work. I have to be honest, the papri used in that papri chat was not that good. Chicken jhol momo was delicious. The tomato/sesame based jhol(soup) was a little thin, but I guess that is what jhol momo means. I am being blatantly honest here, I loved Urban Tandoor’s jhol momo compared to the one in Curry n’ Tandoori. Simply because their stuffed meat had more flavor and the tomato soup was just yum.

Overall, this place deserves 5 stars. I love the café vibe here; small, cozy & welcoming. I wish they had Nepali type of doughnuts and coffee on their menu. Jokes apart!

We will be coming back for more!

Was looking for Indian food via Grubhub. Found Curry N Tandoori which had some good reviews got my attention. Mostly praising the food. If you ordered $20 worth of food delivery was free. So I ordered Butter Chicken Masala and Chicken Chili. I ordered around 12:58 PM and was told the ETA was between 1:40 PM and 1:50 PM. But then things started to get weird. Grubhub tracking was useless since the restaurant used it own drivers. Okay – strange but maybe they used Grubhub to received orders and then preferred to use their own employees? So I waited….and waited…and waited.
By 2:20 PM I decided to call the restaurant. I believe it was the manager who answered the phone and explained to me that the driver’s car was broken but the food would be delivered in another 15 to 20 minutes. I agreed to be patient and wait.
The driver, the man who had answered the phone, called me at 2:44 PM. He was waiting in the parking lot of my condo. I went outside and on top of what I had ordered the restaurant had added a free drink. He had also placed a menu in the bag and promised that if I ordered directly from them the next time I would get 10 percent off my order.
The food was very good and I have to agree with many of the reviews that it is some of the best Indian food in the region. And the prices are lower than some other place – I compared before ordering. And FREE delivery is pretty nice. Not unknown but it is rare to get free delivery in this area. I would say they had a bad day when it came to the driver’s car trouble and will give them five stars.

This place is AMAZING. probably best Desi restaurant in DMV area. They serve verities of Indian and Nepali Food. We Tried Chicken momo, Chowmein, Goat Curry, Paalak Paner and Chechen curry. They are finger licking delicious. The owner and server are very friendly with million $ smiles on their face. very much happy with service and price.

Our first try here, and it was delicious. Northern Indian and Nepali style. We had samosas for the appetizer, then shared chicken korma and chicken C-MoMo (a Nepali dish), a sort of fried dumpling filled with seasoned ground chicken. Rice, butter naan bread, and some raita to round it out, total just under $34. Prompt and pleasant service in an unpretentious setting. We will definitely be going back. Photo is of the samosas.

We have had only 1 pickup meal here and we are still exploring their Nepali dishes. But the flavors are bold and the dishes assembled with care. The meal satisfied more than just as the sum of the parts. Most of the dishes we had were new to us and while there was a dish ww might not reorder, we are perfectly excited to go back. A new entry in our regular rotation. We love supporting small neighborhood businesses.

This is a super friendly place with really nice cuisine. Every time we come there we feel so welcome and we alway leave with smiles on our faces. It’s been a while I’ve seen such a sincere service and care about the customer.
As for the food, it’s pretty good, their masala butter chicken is amazing and I am absolutely in love with this dish. I definitely recommend Curry n Tandoori for visiting and checking it out by yourself. And yeah when they say that the food will be ready in 10 minutes they make it ready in 10 minutes!

I love their indian food and had it many times. I’ve had indian food in India and also in some other countries. Curry N Tandoori is authentic indian food, making it so delicious and with homemade flavors – so fresh. Their portions are generous – we always have leftovers for at least one more meal. Good customer service too. It’s a pleasure to be customers and support the local family owned businesses.

A tidy hole-in-the-wall spot with affordable prices, friendly service, and exceptional food. Particularly impressed by their ability to cater to the less spice-tolerant; frequently even a mild curry is a bit too hot to handle, but after assuring the server that yes, we did in fact want it properly mild, the chicken korma we received had all of the flavor a person could hope for with none of the scorching heat. The samosas were full and fragrant. This will definitely be my new go to for indian food.

My girlfriend is from India and has recommended this restaurant to me, especially when it comes to food from her own country she is one of the best, she is a fabulous chef herself and recently did a pastry-chef study.
Not gonna make my story too long… Price-quality ratio is of such a level that it’s not inferior to an expensive restaurant, great staff and delicious food. You come in hungry, but you walk out like a reborn person, the food here is so good.
I will certainly come back here often!!!

Literally the worst Indian food me and my loved ones have ever had. Clearly the people who gave good reviews above me have never experienced authentic Indian flavor and food. Chicken was under cooked and lamb was excessively chewy(also clearly under cooked). Lacked flavor and rice being “basmati rice” was also chewy and tastes like soap. Unbelievable for the price it was at. If I could, I would give zero stars.
