I would definitely go back if I ever found myself in Gainesville again. The restaurant storefront is situated towards the back of a dining-hall type eatery. The people that work the bar (a separate store within the hall) were very attentive and made the overall pizza experience better. The hall itself is situated on a town square — very strollable. Only points off come from the fact that we were told our pizza would be brought to us (took a number and everything) and it never was. By the time we went up to check on it, it had already cooled off significantly (but still tasted great!).

Because I did not. And now I feel personally attacked for not knowing sooner.
Inside Main Street Market (which I always assumed was just a bar) is a café situation AND Peyton’s Pie Company, quietly slinging pizzas like they’re not about to change your plans for the rest of the day.
Shoutout to Gina-bo-bina for the recommendation — you are responsible for this.
I asked what the most popular pizza was, and Angel didn’t hesitate:
“My Honey Is Hotter Than Yours.”

I watched this pie spin around that sexy wood-fired oven a few times like it knew what it was about to do to me. Then came the first bite… and honestly? Mouth-gasm.
I’ve used honey in dough before, but honey on top of a pizza?
YO.
It works way too well. Sweet, spicy, salty, herby — my brain could not keep up. I absolutely could not stop eating.

The best pizza in Gainesville is fast, very clean, has fresh ingredients, and is authentic Napolitano style. Woodfire oven rings the real taste of Italy to you. The staff is very welcoming and particular about details and affordable pricing for the size and amount of food. It’s a hidden gem inside downtown Gainesville.

As a Texan visiting Gainesville, I was at Peyton’s a few times during my week stay. I tried a few pizzas on the menu and they were all fantastic! The staff is also incredibly friendly. A special shout out to Archie and Angel for their awesome service. Highly recommend this place

Brick oven pizza is GREAT! High quality ingredients. Cocktails next door by the same group is great as well. Ordered pizza from the bar side along with a couple drinks. Will be back!!

We love Peyton’s pie but we have had nothing but issues ordering delivery from their Gainesville location. Not only have we not received our order twice, but it is always very difficult to get in touch with the Gainesville location. Tonight, we placed our order around 6pm. It was supposedly picked up at 6:40 with an ETA of 7:20-7:30. When 7:35 came around there was no pizza. So, I call the Gainesville store 6 times before I finally got an answer. The young lady that answered was very dismissive. She told us the order had been picked up at 6:40 and there was nothing they could do. I needed to take it up with DoorDash. I explained we did not order through door dash we ordered directly through your website. She then backtracked and said we would need to contact square up (their delivery service) but other than that they were hands off. I finally got to speak to a manager who thankfully did refund our money, but still left us with no pizza. They were very unapologetic and even giggling throughout the call prior to me speaking to the manager. The flowery branch location has never been an issue but the Gainesville location has let us down every time. Such a shame because the pizza is so good!

In the gainesville area this is one of my favorite pizza pie places. We have tried most of the pies they offer and all have been awesome. 🙂 Has a very good relaxed atmosphere. The pies themselves have nice thin crispy crust and chewy pizza bone. The fresh toppings rock. The Greasy New Yorker is one of my favorites along with the SFC.

The pizza at Peyton’s is so delicious! This visit we tried the My Honey is Hotter Than Yours and The Super Billy with a little side of the balsamic ranch. Yall, it about made my tongue slap my brains out it was so good! The wood fired stone oven gave it a kiss of smoke that was perfect…You have to try this place if you haven’t yet! Our only regret is we didn’t come here sooner. We agree that we found our new favorite pizza spot around! Our only regret is not trying it sooner! See you same time next week! #LegalizeMarinara
