This place is the coolest, yummiest hidden gem in ktown!! My waiter was fast and attentive. My favorites were the Rigatoni, honey butter chips, tuna dip was fire and the soju selection blew my mind because I’ve only ever had the flavored green bottle.
The fried chicken was very tasty too! Next time I need to try the beer and other menu items. I found metered parking nearby but there is valet service in the back!

this place is a MUST TRY!
The kimchi alla vodka pasta and risotto with egg jam were both amazing, and so were our cocktails.
The staff was very friendly too! Best LA dining experience we’ve had in awhile

Grabbed a res day of to stop here before a show at the Wiltern and what a perfect little plan that was! I told them we were tight on time because of a show and they went out of their way to accommodate, making sure we got our table as soon as possible and fired all our food QUICKLY! We had some great recommended soju and 5 dishes between 2 people. Our favorites were the salmon kimbap, the uni tteok-bokki and the shrimp toast. (Note, we don’t eat red meat so cannot comment on those dishes). The crudo was a tad overdressed but fish was fresh. Highly recommend for a small party for pre show or pre night out dinner.

Easily one of our favorite koreatown spots. We love Marvin. Try as many items as you can from the menu and grab a bottle of makgeolli. You’ll likely get some solid samples either way.

We visited Jilli on a Wednesday. The spot is very cute, parking is a bit of a challenge. A few of the items we wished to order such as the Old Fashion and the beef Wagyu were not available. We ordered the cucumber salad which was okay, nothing wild. We ordered the brisket scallion pancake which was an omelet with brisket inside. The Golbi short rib fries were amazing and the Kimchi Rigatoni was delicious. The Seoul Mule was very sweet and just tasted lile $17 juice.
Service wasn’t great, the waiters were busy giving each other noogies and tasting some drinks by swiping with their fingers and licking it. Weird and unprofessional. All in all we probably wouldn’t come back, there are a bunch of great spots around that have better service, drinks and more options.

I ordered the pay raise and rigatoni and both of them tasted really good with really nice flavor profiles. It is not your regular pocha style restaurant. If I could make an analogy, this is more of a high end experimental modern Pocha. I never had anything like the pay raise! It’s really unique and I like what they are doing! A+

We stopped by while in Ktown the other night, and it’s a solid spot for sure. Grabbed some drinks and shared a few plates—shrimp toast, rigatoni alla kimchi vodka, wagyu yukhwe, pork jowl jeyuk, and galbi frites. The wagyu yukhwe ended up being my favorite—intense flavors in a good way and just really well executed. Pork jowl jeyuk was a close second, especially with the perilla leaves to wrap it in. The rest of the dishes were all tasty too, easy to share and enjoy with drinks. Overall, it’s a comfortable spot to hang out, enjoy some drinks, and snack through some creative Korean plates. Definitely a solid stop if you’re in K-Town.

This place has a great atmosphere . The restaurant space is a little bit small, making it feel more like a cozy spot to enjoy drinks with friends while having some food on the side. We ordered the shrimp toast, Korean rice cakes, fried chicken, and pasta. The shrimp toast was the highlight—absolutely delicious! Paired with drinks, it was a perfect combination. We had the Sonagi, which is ideal for those who enjoy sweeter drinks.
For parking, you can try street parking, but it might be a bit challenging. There’s also a valet parking lot behind the restaurant for $16.50.

Really fun and lively spot! The servers are super friendly and service is great here. They have tasty soju based cocktails. I would describe their food more as sharable small plates that are modern and Korean inspired. We tried the tuna dip with trout roe and the waygu Yukhoe and a side of cucumbers and everything was super tasty! Overall, I really enjoyed my experience here and think it’s a great spot to meet up with friends, get a cool cocktail and have a couple of tasty bites!

The vibe is cool, but I have a lot of issues with the food. I think we’ve all gotten a little carried away with the whole “tapas” thing. I came here because the picture of the kimchi vodka rigatoni looked really good, but was disappointed to see how small the portion size is. Now, I think the tapas thing could have been cool – people could try a bunch of small dishes as they chat and drink. Yes, very cute. What’s not cute is charging people full entree prices for a tiny portion and slapping the “tapas” label on it to justify it. I mean, no matter how you look at it, it’s a tiny plate of pasta that you’re charging $21 for. $21 is a price for a regular portion of pasta, not the kid’s meal portion they served to us. It was good pasta though. Maybe a little runny but that’s the least of its problems.
And the Chimmelier KFC was some of the worst fried chicken I’ve ever had. It was so dry. It was essentially popcorn chicken – stuff I would expect from a Tastea (except Tastea’s would taste better). And the biggest joke is that they’re charging $25 for it.
The Meat Jeon… it was a very good omelette. Like if you told me it was just eggs, I would’ve been like “oh this is a really good omelette.” But this was the eggiest Jeon I’ve ever had. There was almost no flour content in it. I don’t think you could call it a batter. It tasted like if you had nothing in your fridge and decided to crack some eggs in a bowl, whisk ‘em up, and fry them with some bulgogi you had leftover in your fridge. With some sliced green onion on top. There, I just described to you exactly how it tasted.
My drink was the Kace Study. I actually wanted to try the Makgeoli, but our server recommended this cocktail to me. It was ok. Soju with a hint of tea flavor without the biting feeling of alcohol with a stick of gummy bears in it. It was good. Very clean, but kinda simple. Lowkey I’ve made a better version using the peach tea in the pink pouches at Hmart and mixing it with peach soju.
Service was decent. We were sat immediately. It was kinda hard to hear our server because it was so loud. I asked for recommendations but I couldn’t hear a thing she said to me haha.
I know I had a lot of complaints, but I actually think this place has potential. It’s a good concept and some of the stuff tasted good. I think that there is some stuff that needs to go back to the drawing board before it is a decent place.
