This place seems like a hidden gem. The Connecticut style lobster roll was superb. Just the right amount of butter and seasoning. The clam chowder was also the best I’ve had near Acadia. The sweet potato fries were real and cooked to perfection. This restaurant comes highly recommended!

This was easily the best meal I had during my trip to Bar Harbor. The risotto, shrimp, and scallops were all cooked perfectly, the drinks were delicious, and service was prompt, with food arriving quickly. People should absolutely make it a point to visit here!

Currents is such a great spot. Awesome space, super relaxed atmosphere, and the staff is genuinely friendly and welcoming. It’s the kind of place you can show up, grab a drink/food, and instantly feel comfortable.
Perfect for hanging out with friends or stopping by on a nice day. Everything runs smoothly, the energy is great, and the people working there clearly care. Highly recommend — I’ll definitely be back.

First time visiting Maine. Trying all the restaurants I can. I’ve seen Lobster Mac & Cheese on nearly every menu so I tried it hear for the first time. Disappointed. There couldn’t have been more than 2 tbl spoons of Lobster meat in my Mac & Cheese. SMH
I should’ve ordered the Lobster Dinner for same price $37.00.
Pretty sure that 1.25lb. Lobster has more meat in it than 2tbl spoons.

The food was fantastic! We ordered the risotto, smashburger, and lobster mac and cheese – the risotto and lobster mac were especially superb. It’s an easy takeout option, but the upstairs bar has such great vibes that we ended up staying to eat and enjoy more drinks. Justin, the bartender, was incredibly attentive and on top of everything. Food and drinks came out quickly, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. A great spot if you want to avoid the touristy crowds!

This restaurant was FANTASTIC! From the lobster rolls to the old bay chicken wings to the new england clam chowder we devoured and enjoyed every single dish we had for dinner. The Connecticut lobster rolls were well stuffed and tasty. The clam chowder was full of potato and so much clam and was tasty without being too heavy. The cheese curds were crispy and gooey and a fantastix starter. The staff were all incredibly friendly, helpful and kind. We will absolutely be back to this gem!
