Finished a 10-mile run at Salem Lake, and decided to hit the grocery store before returning home. Remembered that this place has been a hot item on the Unofficial City of King page on FB, so decided to try them out.

Easy to find, drive-thru and several parking spots, but might get congested at times.

Around 11 a.m., so I ordered a caramel macchiato and the tenderloin on a bun. The drink was done in like 2 minutes, and was superb. I don’t normally drink anything other than black coffee (for several years now), but there was a time I hit Starbucks daily for this…or any available coffee shop. This was exceptional, and I’ll definitely return when/if I want to treat myself.

The tenderloin was done a couple minutes after, so very quickly. It also came with tater tots. My experience with tenderloin sandwiches is limited, probably about a dozen or so…sometimes the meat is seasoned, sometimes the breading, etc. I didn’t detect any discernible seasoning for either on this sandwich. That is not to say they did anything wrong! In this whack and litigious era, more and more food providers opt for neutral seasoning levels, so as not to invite drama, which I totally understand. I mean, who wants to be slapped with a lawsuit because Tom had a heart attack, and he had high blood pressure when he ate your salty fries? So I tried seasoning multiple bites with salt, ketchup, and mayo. Mayo worked for me…but then, it normally does because my body loves extra calories!! The tenderloin itself had a nice and evenly distribution of breading, appropriately crispy, and the tenderloin was of appropriate thickness to hold moisture and provide a satisfactory bite. A mild and natural flavor, juicy, and probably the best of the dozen or so I’ve tried the past few years. I’d personally be prone to adding a little more savory seasoning to the breading (regardless of lawsuits). Someone told me the tenderloin is sometimes brined…I’m not sold on that, because it adds more water…yes, retaining moisture in the meat, but then that in turn can “water down” what is already a normally mild flavor.

The tater tots were normal. I’ll probably never address tots as being exceptional because they’re not a gourmet food. These were in the perfect range of doneness, and on the crispier side of that range, so a satisfactory crunch. I thought I detected a hint of seasoning, but maybe not. A packet of ketchup and a packet of salt mixed together, and I had my traditional dipping sauce. But because I wanted more calories, I added mayo, for the win!!

Everyone’s tastes and preferences differ, so my experience may not reflect the opinions of others. However, I heartily recommend this be on your list of places to try for yourself!

A footnote: My meal charge included a charge for credit card use. Many places have instituted this practice due to high credit card fees. For my part, I have no qualms whatsoever about an added CC charge for small business and local businesses ANYWHERE. I do draw the line at corporations and franchise chains doing this. Support local and small businesses!!

Been a couple times in the morning through the drive through. Both times one car ahead of me, over ten minutes to get a bagel. First time was BEC, no cheese was on it. Second time was cinnamon raisin bagel with strawberry cream cheese. Cream choose was bright and looked like it was made fresh but had zero flavor. Bagels had no cinnamon flavor or raisins. I asked for a different flavor on the other half of my bagel when ordering (since the person taking my order recommended it), then she said they couldn’t do two different cream cheeses.
The man serving the food walking around to the cars had on food service gloves but was touching the bags of food, the doors, cups etc. I hope he wasn’t using those gloves inside to prep as well, but I didn’t see in there. Overall, I’d say 2 star but maybe I’d go up if I tried their drinks. These bagel don’t compare to the bagels at the place in Kernersville, but I’m not sure there’s another bagel place in King.
The pic is after I pulled the top half off to eat in separately bc I forgot to ask to have it cut in half. Thin little store type bagels.
I gave the atmosphere 4 stars bc it looks nice inside, but I haven’t been in and bc the bagel and a bottle of water was ~$6.50, so not overpriced.

Hope everyone else’s experience is better.

Visited this new business this morning and was impressed with the place. The manager Gus is a great fella and food quality was good. It stays busy which is a good sign. Busiest between 8:30-10 AM..Parking is limited and much of their business is drive thru..I highly recommend..Visited again..Great coffee ..Great sandwich..☆

Stopped by Cup of Joe on a rainy day and was seriously impressed. The drive-thru has two lanes, which kept things moving smoothly even though it was super busy (only their second day open!). I ordered a caramel macchiato and was happy to see they offered oat milk — big plus. Also grabbed some bagel sandwiches (they had a nice variety of options) and a few donuts, all fresh and delicious.

The girl who took my order was incredibly friendly and helpful — great energy despite the weather and crowd. The menu was easy to read, prices were totally reasonable, and I could smell the coffee from the window (yes, it smelled amazing). I also loved seeing the pastries displayed — made it hard to choose just one.

What really stood out was the owner, Joe, who came out personally to greet me, double-check my order, and hand it off. You can tell the whole team is passionate and well-prepared — they were fully staffed and working like pros.

Highly recommend stopping by. I’ll definitely be back!

Best oat milk vanilla latte in King! And the BEST everything bagel I’ve EVER had. Ever. Better than NYC bagels! I don’t have any photos to post because everything was consumed so fast . If you’re vegan, there is an avocado toast bagel option for you (it would be nice to have hummus sandwich option—but I’m also prob the only vegan around here). Lots of vegetarian options available. The donuts look incredible. Looking forward to making this our new go-to spot!

Coffee was excellent. Strong enough to hold up to flavored syrups but not with that bottom of the pot burnt flavor that you get at Starbucks. As others have noted they could really use some sugar-free syrup options. Service at the drive-thru was also excellent very pleasant young man came out and patiently waited while I read through the menu and gave him my order. Took a couple of minutes for pickup but not surprising since obviously they had to toast my bagel. Now on to what was not so good- The bagel. I got an everything bagel with egg and sausage. The egg was flat and dry like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for about an hour or so. Sausage wasn’t bad but the bagel was dry, tough and tasted a bit stale. No butter or anything on the bagel. I was there about 1:00 in the afternoon so I’m guessing the bagel had been sitting around since early in the morning. But even with that I would have expected it to taste fresher. Prices are reasonable. They do charge a 3% credit card surcharge which is becoming the norm for a lot of fast food places. I will go back for the coffee and I’d like to try some of the donuts and pastries but I don’t know if I’ll try a bagel again.

I met a friend there for a coffee and a breakfast bagel. It was really good. The coffee could have been alittle hotter but was drinkable. Thank you for your service and friendly customer service.

A great coffee shop with a pretty good variety. My vanilla iced latte with oat milk was very good and my husband’s hot caramel macchiato with oat milk was also really good. The tiramisu has a great flavor and texture but they were out of forks. All in all, I was really impressed. It’s really nice to have such a good coffee shop so close to home. I hope they’ll eventually have Sunday hours (even if they’re shorter than normal business hrs) and maybe offer matcha/other teas in the future for a coffee alternative. I love that they had gluten free options available! That’s kind of rare around here. My husband is unable to have gluten or dairy so it’s nice to finally see allergy friendly options in local shop. The place was really busy, and rightfully so!
