This burger was amazing! I told my Fiancé I was dying for a real authentic burger and this place delivered! Charbroiled on the coolest spinning grill I have ever seen and their toppings (lettuce, tomato, onion) were generous. No stinginess here. The cheese was super melty and the burger was juicy. Yall made my day! If you like fries be sure to order more because one serving with your meal was definitely not enough to share (and that’s ok). Fries were well seasoned too. Atmosphere was clean and welcoming. Try them out!

I want to start by saying that my favorite burgers were these but not any more. I just picked up to burgers from Quarto de Kilo and boy have they changed. Burger are smaller, dry , salty, the tomato was very thing and not the same savory flavor:
however the price remains the same. I called to tell them how unhappy I was and he simply said “I’m sorry and hung up. 🙁

We’re always looking for small businesses with great service and food and I must say they had both. Me and my husband ordered cheeseburgers and my daughter ordered Bacon cheese burger, there hamburgers are phenomenal there big and juicy and the right amount of seasoning and there even better on the grill they cook them on. Fries and onion rings are nice and crispy. You do wait a few for your food because it’s cook to order and it’s definitely worth the wait. Prices are very reasonable and I’d rather pay for a hot homemade burger than fast food. Come try them out it’s worth it.

We very much enjoyed these burgers. It reminded us of the homemade burgers our parents used to make us when we were kids. Everything was fresh and really really good. The burger was cooked to perfection. We will definitely be back. I do wish they had kids plates since it was pricey. It was about $40 with tip for 2. I did they the bestial sauce it was a definitely must try.

I read about this place and wanted to give them a try even though I didn’t understand the name. Still don’t. I got the Cuarto Bacon Cheeseburger and watched it cook on the spinning grill while I waited. I was intrigued by the “signature Mexican recipe” for their made-from-scratch prime beef patties. This one goes in a category of its own for me. It’s a thicker patty but that Mexican flavor does come through. I have to give it an B based upon my own made-up-as-we-go criteria but it’s not because it isn’t flavorful (which is why a burger usually falls lower on the scale) – it’s just that the Mexican mesquite grilled genre wouldn’t be my burger of choice. The condiments are self-serve which wins my heart every time. And fries are peppered, another way to my heart. But at the end of the day I’d file this one under “glad I tried it.” Cheers to Cuarto de Kilo for whipping up a truly unique kind of burger!

Checked them out this weekend and it was totally worth the hype! Right from the moment I walked in, I smelled the nice smokey flavors. The burgers were really good and the meat was thick. My only complaint was that the lettuce style/size made the burger even thicker. The fries and onion rings were both nice and crispy. I would definitely come back again for their bacon cheeseburger!

The service was great. I walked in, it’s a typical casual type spot. But I was greeted immediately by the gentleman behind the counter and a young woman who was cleaning tables and sweeping.
After I ordered, another woman asked if I needed anything. So they are quite attentive.
There was a small family of about 5 (three kids) and an older couple sitting nearby finishing their meals. The Atmosphere was nice.. almost like a sports bar, but not so loud as to be obnoxious.

My food came quickly and as it was to go, it was packaged. I was impressed by the packing as well. Good sturdy paper bag, almost bordering on cardboard. Similar to how the old paper bags we used to get at grocery stores before people decided paper wasn’t good enough for the environment and we all switched strangely to plastic bags, then doubled down on plastic bags. Plastic makes your meals soggy in their wrappers. Here the sturdy paper kept my fries even toasty even to home.

The fries were fantastic. Crisp, salty, still hot, and i think they put something on them like lime? Something tangy, lemony and acidic. Whatever it was, oh mama, it made them really a treat. My only gripe (and the reason I didn’t give the food a full 5 stars, but instead downgraded to a 4) is that the portion felt frightfully small. It was with the ‘meal’ and I suppose I assumed it would be medium. I did not notice any option to increase it or (supersize). But this may be my own fault. Even so, I felt the quantity was far smaller than it should be as it felt more at home in a kids’ meal than for an adult. Especially disappointing on account of how gosh darn good they were.

The Burger, however, was the highlight. That flame grill system they have that you can see from the counter is the dealmaker. The Bacon Burger I ordered was phenomenal. It tasted as close to homemade as possible, if your home was living with a 5 star chef. The meat blend tasted fresh and meaty, the burger was juicy, and the flames left a caramelization that just brought everything together. The bacon was thick, crispy, and perfectly accentuated the seasoned patty of the burger. The cheese was the literal icing on the cake, and the burger wasn’t over sloppy with condiments as some places I will not mention tend to be.

I know San Antonio has no shortage of beloved new upstart burger joints, both fast food and slightly upscale. But I have to say of all of them, this is hands down my new favorite burger spot in SA. It’s a little out of the way if you don’t live in the area and frankly Bandera & 1604 intersection is a crime against humanity traffic and congestion-wise. But that aside, Cuarto was fantastic and has earned itself a very, VERY loyal new customer.
I’m still on the fence about those fries though.. and in hindsight, I’m updating it to a 5 star review because such a thing shouldn’t be a whole star blemish on an otherwise stellar experience.

Glad I finally made it. This was recommended by a friend and associate. Took the time following an appointment to swing in. The smell of the mesquite fire grill hits you immediately as you enter. Great staff! Clean tables and service area. Want to kick it up a notch, then add some pepper slices at the fountain and condiments area. Loved the large toasty bun, smokey bacon and burger, and those fries alone worth the stop. Come by and let’s make them them the #1 burger in 2025!

That is one tasty burger!! Been wanting to eat at a place where they flame grilled burgers, this place came up for me so had to try it. Small place but the burgers sure are tasty!

Ordered the regular burger they offer. Great tasting, at first I thought the price was a bit much, but after eating this burger it sure was worth it, the fries are very tasty also.

Definitely coming back!

Came in to try their burger after seeing pics and reviews of the grill, burger definitely has a distinct char taste. It was good however you need to buy everything separately. After ordering the burger, fries, drink and sauce the total was nearly $20.
