The waitresses were nice and came often to our table. At first we were sat in the back of the restaurant which was really dark. I asked the waitress could we move and she with no problem moved into the middle of the room which was so much better. The atmosphere was nice. The building is nice but it can only probably accommodate 30 to 50 people at a time. We were served bread and butter. I think we would have enjoyed it more if the bread was warm. My food which was herb grilled chicken breast fried potato with cheese and arugula. I give it a 6 out of 10. The chicken was seasoned perfectly, but $30 was high for what I had. My husband had a steak, green beans and potatoes. He stated that his steak needed more season but it was still good. The potatoes needed to be cooked just a tad bit more and the green beans were okay. His food was $40. They only offered three desserts. We chose a lemon desert. I’m not sure of the name. It was the size of three tablespoons of pudding in a very small bowl for $13. The dessert was some sort of pudding that had a glazed top. It was for sure not worth $13, not even five. My husband said that it tasted good to him. It was just okay to me. Not to my liking. We shared a strawberry lemon martini which was perfect and suggested by the waitress. It was also $13. Our total was right at $100. I am assuming that you are paying for the location and maybe the ambiance more so than the food. The wasn’t bad but very overpriced.

We were greeted and then seated immediately, since we had a reservation. This was out first time here and the quiet atmosphere was perfect for celebrating my birthday.

Our server was knowledgeable and even offered us extra bread ! I selected the Bone-in Pork Chop, mashed potatoes and green beans…All were very well prepared and tasted fantastic !
My wife chose the Chicken Pot Pie and it too was very good.

Since it was my birthday an offer was extended for a free dessert, so we both had a serving of the Chocolate Mouse… It was very good as well !

We do not live in LaGrange, but will recommend C’sons and certainly will return one day.

Lowering my review due to disappointment. This had become mine and girls favorite place but they messed up our order last time and did nothing to correct it. They were out of the avocado for pork belly and just brought it anyway. When mentioned, they explained they were out but didn’t do anything to correct it. Didn’t discount it, didn’t offer to replace it. Just accept it. That was probably my favorite dish at this place. It’s not about money, just expect consistency and to get what I pay for when I go to a place I like. When you’re paying $100 for dinner for 2 multiple times a week, you expect things to be right.

This place is great. Very friendly staff, nice atmosphere. The filet was cooked perfectly. We loved the pork belly app with avocado, it was sooo good. Really enjoyed this place, one of the better dinners i’ve had.

Food was fine. Unfortunately, there are only three ‘fine dining’ restaurants in town.

Very underwhelming.

For starters we waited 30 minutes for drinks, another 30 for bread and for our order to be take. Wife’s cocktail was tiny and not good for $14. I ordered the lump crab and avocado, wife had a ceaser salad as appetizers. My crab was a small golf ball sized lump of cold flavorless crab, with a sliced avocado covering it. Expected much more for $20. My wife’s salad was decent. Our entrees came out and were very good. I had the butter poached lobster and it was incredibly tender, sides were very well seasoned and cooked right just cold by time they made it. My wife’s filet was great, as were the sides… COLD sides though. All were good, just cold.

All in all I think they’re trying too hard to be fancy. It’s a nice place, and I like the small simple menu but it just wasn’t worth the $180 I spent on dinner. Won’t be back.

Extra points for the delicious cold Michelobs I guess. Waited so long I had time to drink 6 and every one was as tasty as the first one

We had the most amazing anniversary dinner here. We were visiting in town and celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary. We arrived somewhat late due to circumstances but the staff was more than understanding and very accommodating. Now the menu is very simple which in my opinion is the sign of a good restaurant. Better to make 10-15 things really well then 100 mediocre items. And they did not disappoint. Excellent cuts of steak if you are a meat lover! Amazing sides and an impressive wine selection. The venue itself is small, cozy and exquisitely decorated. I was very happy with the whole experience and I would definitely visit again. 5 stars!

What an amazing experience. Highly recommend this restaurant. Atmosphere, the service and the staff was so welcoming. Had a group of 5 and there was no plate left with any food on it. Took desert to go. I can say our server did not skip a beat. He went above and beyond. The bar tender did a great job with our mix drinks. Must and will go back again. Yes it is in the downtown area and Parking is limited but well worth it to eat and dine at this restaurant. Can not wait to return.

I took my aunt to dinner tonight and, after several attempts, our meal just never met our expectation. We ordered the short rib and the filet – medium rare. The steak was overcooked, my potatoes were cold, the sweet potatoe hash left much to be desired. The short rib was stuffed inside of pasta, which the waitress should have mentioned since we asked several questions about the preparation of this dish. She didn’t know the menu and she clearly didn’t understand how the dish was served. The Brussels sprouts were great; we were happy to have something we could eat. After spending 2 hrs trying to receive a meal prepared properly, we still spent $77 and needed to buy food at another restaurant in town. We were so disappointed.

Service was not bad, but when we walked in the restaurant was empty. That was my sign to leave. Unfortunately I stayed because other restaurants were full. Started off with a cocktail from their cocktail. List of only sweet cocktails. Got the green apple martini which was very underwhelming. My wife got a Caesar salad that tasted incredibly fishy. She couldn’t eat it so she passed it to me and although I like anchovies, I couldn’t eat it either. My wife ordered cacio e pepe and the serving size was tiny. I would be OK with that. If it at least tasted good, but for such a simple dish with potent ingredients, there was a very little flavor. Personally, I just got a bowl of soup and it was very sweet. Really didn’t enjoy the food or drinks. honestly the one star that the restaurant gets is for the atmosphere because it’s OK and like I said I didn’t receive bad service my wife and I decided this was probably the most disappointing meal of 2022 once you factor in the fact that it cost $100. I would’ve found it acceptable for a quarter of the price.
