This is my second visit, my first visit we were blown away by the quality of the food, presentation and they taste was exceptional. Took my party of seven for Mother’s Day weekend, the appetizers were good along with service, but for $300 ticket I was very disappointed. The cheese grits tasted stale, the asparagus was overcooked, the lobster was overcooked, the food was barely warm, we used the same white sauce on everything three different items on the menu all with the same white sauce which was probably the same that he used for the soup. Not one person of the four that order steaks was happy with their steak because I recommended this place bragged about it so much I left very disappointed and embarrassed that I recommended. This went from a unbelievable menu that seem to be cooked by a unbelievable chef to thinking somebody Was preparing meals out of the back of a pickup someone has dropped the ball do not plan on returning

The food is terrible i purchase shrimp and grits with extra shrimp 33 dollars for piggly wiggly shrimp pack and water grits worse meal ever. I purchase pan seared catfish and again its store bought and fried not seard 35 dollars trash this morning I opened containers and it was spoiled. Terrible dining experience.

It was overbook, waitress was trying but was too many tables. Filet was ordered well done and came out black .Fried Lobster tail was too crispy. The two pieces of Asparagus was good. 1st glass of tea was good. 2nd glass was watered down. Very disappointed. Had looked forward to this for a week.

The presentation of the food was excellent. Unfortunately the flavor wasn’t anything special. The salads were decent. My grouper tasted…..old maybe? Even my asparagus wasn’t fresh. The grits were okay. My fiance said his steak wasn’t good. My fiance’s son ordered the walleye and it was actually VERY good, so we ate off his plate LOL! We all should have ordered that dish – everything in it was incredibly good, the fish, the feta salad, all of it. We may try Criolla again some other time. Perhaps it was just an off night. 🙁

The building leaves a little bit to be desired but the food is out of site. The menu changes every week and he just writes it on the chalk board. I’ve seen steak, lamb, crab, snapper, trigger fish… All kinds of good stuff to eat. Most entrees are priced in the mid $20 range. You won’t want to skip out on the appetizer though. It’s easy to spend about $50 / person after the tip. It’s a place that’s worth going out of the way for!

Wonderful food and dining experience. The she crab soup is amazing and the crab cakes will melt in your mouth. Our filet was cooked to perfection and delicious. Wonderful chef and servers all the way around. Don’t let these guys hurt for business because we need a good gulf seafood restaurant.

The food was cold, steak over cooked. I asked for med rare and got med well. The mashed potatoes were instant, and the crab meat topper was canned crab meat. The prime rib had liquid smoke on it which tasted awful. I will never eat here again and never recommend to anyone. The chef is supposed to be a five star, I have never heard of a five star chef serving food that is cold and serving instant mashed potatoes.

Had the Fillet Mignon, Twice baked potato salad and Cheese grits. It was amazing food and a great intimate atmosphere. Perfect for a date night. Service was quick and very down to earth and friendly. Makes you feel like family.
