I really, REALLY wanted to like this place better than I did. My family and I decided to finally try it today, and unfortunately my wife, son, and myself were all underwhelmed. I’m not here to slam it though. It’s also worth noting that it had to endure a 15 min drive home, so I expect stuff like fries to take a hit, which they did. I can tell if these fries were eaten fresh and hot, they’d be pretty good. The place is called Crazy Chicken, though, so how’s the chicken? I’m conflicted – my whole family is conflicted. The breading is light, flaky and crispy, and definitely has a different appearance than anything I’ve seen before. This is a good thing because it looks crispy, and it IS crispy. Very satisfying crunch to this stuff. What about the flavor? Well that’s where it falls short. It’s pretty bland. People always complain about Raising Cane’s total lack of flavor and total reliance on their sauce. I found this to to be very much in the same vein, except with the sauce definitely being inferior to Cane’s. I’m really quite befuddled at the concept of making a business of fried chicken, but don’t put any thought into the seasoning. On that sentiment, I’m still holding out hope of finding the perfect tender meal. I know PDQ is hailed as the undisputed champion, but they’re more of a southern thing. But anyway, just my honest opinion, and will these places please STOP putting coleslaw with HOT food? For the life of me, I cannot wrap my head around that.

Got the crazy Mac n cheese bowl and thank God I had a spoon in the glove box because it was more like Mac n cheese soup.. there was no chicken and only a few pieces of broccoli.

I had a delicious “Spicy Crazy Chicken Stir-fry” and a Truth IPA (from Cincinnati, I believe). The food and beer were excellent, the service was prompt and pleasant.

Food was great! Ordered the 5 piece chicken combo and it was made to order and cooked perfectly. The breading on the chicken tenders was so light and crispy and the fries were so tasty. Chicken is fresh never frozen and so juicy. Some of the best I’ve ever had. Coleslaw was very good too.

Came in with our bike club tonight and had an amazing experience. The hospitality was phenomenal. Everyone was very pleasant from the server , to the bartender, to the cook. The food was absolutely delicious the drinks were amazing & our server tonight provided the best service I’ve ever had in my life. Thank you all.

Visited the area today. I’m a flight attendant so we had an overnight in the Akron area and stayed across the street so I figured I’d try them out , despite multiple flight attendants stating that their had been cases of food poisoning. Walked in and it was clearly a slower period of the day. Bartender didn’t seem very inviting at all. Told me I could get a table or seat at the bar. Opted to sit at the bar. Ordered the four piece meal and a water. Food came out pretty quickly and was hot. Chicken was tender but fries seemed a bit soggy and the breadstick was tough. After getting my food, the bartender did not speak to me again but rather held a full conversation with the gentleman that was already sitting at bar and cleaned. It was not until I had completely finished that she just dropped my check down. Multiple times I heard her speaking with vulgar language and honestly felt very unwelcomed in the establishment. Don’t know if I would recommend this place to other flight attendants at this point.

I drove by this place all the time and decided to try it out; BEST chicken strips I’ve ever tasted!! Very tender and crispy and delicious!! Definitely need to eat them with their sauce! Breadsticks were amazing and soft, and fries were perfectly crispy and very good flavor! You honestly get a good portion size for what you order. Will most definitely be going back—Cannot recommend more!

I travel the world for a living and the chicken tenders at this place are the best I’ve ever had, not to mention the crazy sauces are delicious. The owner is a world class guy and knows how to take care of the customers. When I’m in Akron, thus is my spot always.
