Went there last night for a special dinner. It was great! Wonderful outside deck right on a very picturesque pond. Since it was a bit chilly, we chose to sit in the very cozy dining room. Service was perfect and the food was delicious. Owner, Maria, was very welcoming. Started with mussels and coconut shrimp. Very tasty. for entrees, my wife got sesame salmon and I got duck. Both were excellent. A nice bottle of superior Portuguese blend was a perfect compliment. We will definitely be back!

My husband dined there Friday evening and were seated right away by friendly staff. We chose to eat outside on deck. There was a musician singing and playing a guitar. Tiny bit loud with music, couldn’t really carry a conversation with my husband. Pricy menu and lots of good options. We both chose to order the scallop risotto with a side of veggies. We also started with a order of stuffed mushrooms & coconut shrimp. Coconut shrimp was outstanding light crispy and I could taste the coconut. Mushrooms were surprisingly slightly spicy. The 3 sea scallops were received on our plates were seared and tasty, however for $38 you would expect at least 10 sea scallops not 3. Risotto was bland, no flavor at all. We had to ask for vegetables as the server was not aware dish can with the green beans. Once she brought them ti us, they were crispy and fresh. I would have like to rate them higher but there were too many short comings.

Unfortunately, our Mother’s Day experience was not the best. I did call and make reservations and ask if they could accommodate one vegetarian, I was told absolutely as long as we have it on the menu. And couldn’t even get a glass of water. I had to go up to the bar and get my 86-year-old mother a glass of water. Then when our salads were served it was a nice piece of yellow wilted lettuce that somebody didn’t have the brains to pluck off the plate. Then when the vegetarian dish was served it was four plain dry raviolis. I did not want a cream sauce cuz I don’t eat cream sauce. I asked for a white wine with some vegetables. That seemed to turn into an issue in Maria. I’m not sure if she’s the owner or the manager but she’s the one I spoke to and said that she would accommodate me. She kept on saying it’s Mother’s Day. Well, even more reason why you should accommodate your guest, especially after you told them the week before you would. Our waitress wasn’t worth two cents. Every time I have to ask her for something we waited 10 15 minutes. She had three tables. It’s not like she was in the weeds. I’ve worked at five star restaurants down to diners Well there cause I review it sucks and everything in between this place is overrated overpriced. They couldn’t even on Mother’s Day. Give a carnation. I guess the prices are paying for who’s ever Bentley is in the driveway. Don’t waste your time or your money. However the views are pretty but that’s about it. In the attitude that I got for not being satisfied with four drive ravioli was not very friendly. So no I didn’t leave the 25% tip like I normally do when I basically had to serve ourselves several things.

A huge disappointment. Duck pillow appetizer was fried dumpling filled with creamed corn, cheese and ham. Our server agreed it was not duck, but the chef sent her back to say it was. Special pork ribeye was an unrecognizable cut with a large bone in the middle of gristle and fat. Could not cut it, let alone eat it. Ribeye steak at least looked like the right cut, and was cooked to the requested doneness….but tough to cut and chew. Meatball app was good, but was not even warm.

A perfect thanksgiving at a perfect restaurant. They accommodated our large, crazy family without breaking a sweat. The staff is kind and professional. Everything we ordered from appetizers to dessert was excellent, especially the 50oz wagyu tomahawk steak, which was cooked to perfection. In an age when dining out is hardly worth it in terms of cost and quality, The Crane Brook restaurant is a truly exceptional establishment that you should have tried already.

I have no intent to project negativity or harm a business. I do feel my experience Sat night needs to be said. My husband & I went for a 1st time dinner. We had a gift card (seize the deal) but were hesitant because my MIL who gifted it just went & had a bad experience. Yet we always give something a chance. There was a pianist we sat by (so amazing) & overall atmosphere was cozy (though bright). Seemed typical busy for a night at a decent spot. We ordered coconut shrimp app. Disappointed. They were small size, frozen taste, wet inside; strange. We didn’t complain because we understand off days/meals. We were told to avoid all apps, at least the duck purses as those apparently tasted frozen too. We still wanted to try one as we had an appetite & love full dining experience. We order entrees- my husband filet mignon & I crispy duck. We wait over ONE HOUR for meal. Our waitress eventually noted our concerned faces & apologized for delay; we kindly understood & waited. We see a 2 person table who arrived well after us and served their entree now. At 45-60min mark our waitress said ‘I know the food is taking long & I saw that table that came after you got served first. I just spoke to the kitchen.” I told the waitress we felt something more than an apology should be considered, comp the app (sucked but still didn’t say) or another round of drinks. She agreed & got another round. Also we saw friends who were now leaving say ‘you guys still haven’t gotten your food?’ & made a puzzled face. Meals arrived, were fine. Not great (husband’s potatoes: cold for ‘just made;’ Sriracha duck: overly crispy, No Sriracha). It wasn’t bad, so again, fine. After meal our waitress says “so unfortunately I spoke to my manager & we can’t compensate you for the drinks or anything.” In shock I asked to speak w/ manager. Manager ill-toned says “Hi what’s the matter?” Though she was aware of ‘the matter’ we explained our concerns & hesitant to complain but were taken back by the response to poor execution. She showed no understanding & stated “We make everything from scratch, this isn’t like other restaurants. And other people got their food before you because you got filet it takes long.” My husband told her that table served first ALSO got steak. No response. She insisted how ‘fresh’ the food is & minimized our experience. We explained we eat at MANY restaurants locally, internationally (we are foodies- farm to table, high end, pub, we appreciate all). We quickly saw she was rude, arguing & this got no where. She said ‘I don’t know what you want me to do.’ We again said giving anything to feel the customer is heard & respected. She said No. WOW. I say ‘That’s super unfortunate you choose to handle a business in customer service like this.’ I ask her name, “Maria. And by the way, I’m the owner.” Husband & I STUNNED an owner would behave this way put some perspective: why there are SO many terrible reviews, why they’re only open 3 days/week (hence the frozen ‘fresh’ items), & why this will ultimately be a failing business (failing ownership). Shocked our concerns weren’t regarded, I simply stated “We unfortunately will never be back here again, thank you.” We carried on got dessert, enjoyed the piano, & left after our waitress apologized again. Comical side note: we go for brunch today, great spot. Waited OVER AN HOUR to sit. Place was so busy. Once seated we got a full order of donut holes to make up for delay (delish). WE DIDN’T EVEN HAVE TO COMPLAIN TO RECEIVE ACKNOWLEDGEMENT, ACCOUNTABILITY, & GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. All in all, owner is prideful with poor sense of serving in a business that involves guests of any kind. Save the headache & go to any other spot. You’ll be much more pleased (& at a lesser price for the quality). Gave 1 star mainly for the fab pianist who helped us forget our experience. Put him & the great wait staff elsewhere & they will surely have a thriving business. This one though won’t last.

My husband and I ate here last night spending over $200 for a couple drinks each, appetizer and two entrees. We waited over a half hour before receiving our martinis (which were not chilled at all). The appetizer was luke warm and the meals not great. Not what we expected for the expensive prices charged. Go to Plymouth.
