The host area felt a bit chaotic when we arrived around 1 pm. They were using a notebook for names, told us about 25 minutes, and 35 minutes later we still weren’t called because my name, the last one on the notepad, never got entered into their computer system. The host fixed it right away and kindly seated us. Our server was polite though clearly overwhelmed, and we never got the biscuits and cornbread. The food was very good. I had chicken tenders with hashbrown casserole, mac and cheese, and three dipping sauces, which was great. My husband had the breakfast platter with pancakes, fried apples, and sides. The pancakes were excellent as always and the hashbrown casserole here is my favorite. The store was full of cute Halloween decorations, some pricey but beautiful. I loved the 99 cent seasonal salt and pepper shakers and picked up both Halloween and Thanksgiving sets. The Frankenstein Hello Kitty was $25 and animated, which was fun to see. The cashier was the best part of the visit. He explained the rewards program so well that I finally signed up after visiting Cracker Barrel many times in different states. Overall, I would return. The wait and stress seemed more like staffing issues, not the fault of the polite employees, and I hope they have more support next time.

Love the Cracker Barrel off hwy 50 in Kenosha… we had an awesome server. Food was fantastic, fireplace was roaring and smelled wonderful. Took the chill out. Had the Grandma breakfast and the pecan french toast was so good and the side of loaded Hashbrowns – were yummy My friend had the special Turkey fried steak with mashed potato and corn. Was delicious, with some berry ice tea. Took 2 $5.00 meals to go Meatloaf with mashed potato and fried chicken with mac n cheese. Highly reccomend. Keep the plaace as is. I love it.

Anytime I drive near a Cracker Barrel I make the stop for some good, country home cooked comfort food. I have had many items and none have disappointed me.

The menu includes breakfast, lunch and dinner options with such items as fresh biscuits, pancakes, meatloaf, country fries steak and fried chicken. I had a hashbrown casserole that looked like it would be much higher and bigger than it was but it was still delicious. The pancakes taste like no other with slightly crisp edges and are served with maple syrup.

In the front there is a large store area with various items such as home decor, clothing, seasonal items, candies and toys. It is always worth it to take the time to browse a bit.

The decor is country style with wooden furniture, a fireplace and a peg game to play at the table. The establishment looked clean. The workers were polite and friendly.

Ghosh guys, we love CB and have good memories of the joint attached to our past road trips. However, this time, the quality of food especially the quality of protein just disappointed us terribly.

Service was as usual amazing. The guy was so patient and pleasant and always had a smile while talking to us and engaged in small talks and pleasant exchanges. I hate to think, but is it just this location where the food quality was bad?

CB, you specialize in chicken so just have the best quality one can ever find. It’s simple. Don’t try to cut corners and make money. You will make money if you keep high standards and anything else is just an illusion and greed.

We love visiting CB in some distant unknown town on our way to somewhere and we love it especially during a winter evening and if there is a mild snow storm (there is an oxymoron for you) , even better. I love the atmosphere in the CB during winter. It kind of transports you back in time.

Anyways, our loyalty hasnt diminished , just our disappointment has no bounds due to the recent experience. I hope someone at CB reads this and takes my feedback about the quality of food into consideration and works on it. Thank you

Loved it! It’s a treat to go to Cracker Barrel as there are not too many up north. We had chicken and dumplings, side salad, biscuits, cornbread, New Orleans steak and shrimp, corn, and hashbrown casserole. All were great. The waitress was very friendly. Not too long of a wait either. The gift shop had so many cute things to buy. I found plenty. We will return the next time we head down that way. I have attached photos. Go check this place out. It is right off the freeway for easy off and on for your road trip.

This experience was mixed, to say the least. When we were seated, the hostess passed clean tables and chose to seat us at a table that had a tray on it and was still dirty with food. The chair was also dirty, too. Our food took longer than normal but our waitress told us that they were freshly breading the chicken etc… we asked if we could get our biscuits while we waited. So she brought them to us without and plates. We literally had to eat them off the table and napkins. when we finally got our food it was OK. The fries were kinda cold and tasted gross. Potato casserole was also cold and not very good. chicken was hot fresh and tasted great. Biscuits were also fantastic. So overall was truly a mixed experience.

We visited after the Ren Faire. We ordered Hashbrown casserole tots which were delicious. For our entrees my wife ordered a 10oz steak mid-well it came med-rare more on the rare side with mashed potatoes and broccoli. She said the steak had a kinda weird seasoning. She said it was ok but not great the mashed potatoes were real which is always good. I ordered the Hash brown Shepherds Pie with a side of broccoli. It was delicious the only thing I would change is add more meat and vegetables. There was almost an overload of potatoes. But get the s’more latté oh wow is it good.

We came here for lunch. This is a nice Cracker Barrel. We were seated right away.
For lunch I had the chicken and dumplings and my wife had a grilled chicken salad. Both were excellent. The server we had who’s name I unfortunately don’t remember was excellent. We’ve been here before and will continue to return. Highly recommend.

I ordered meatloaf, green beans, and hash brown casserole. Surprisingly, the casserole didn’t seem to be cooked enough. Everything else was wonderful. Husband had a steak that was wonderful too. Our server was wonderful too

Northernized Southern comfort food.
We come here every spring. I think I actually enjoy Cracker Barrel more because it seems to be tradition, rather than for the food it offers.
In 2025 I ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken. Which is basically the same thing as the Homestyle Chicken, it just has gravy on it. I remember the chicken being better, but generally most boneless breaded chicken fillets work well with me. The mashed potatoes were unenjoyable. They’re mashed, but my batch had been chilled and then barely reheated. The fried apples weren’t as great as I remembered either. To the contrary the broccoli was done perfectly.
*noted in my older review that I had a sugar glazed ham in my Sampler Plate. On the current menu the ham is no longer a selectable option for that.
Our server was a younger lady who did a nice job and said all the right things, but I could tell from her body language that she just wanted to be left alone. I can certainly understand that.
We always spend some time in the attached shoppe. It’s a nice place to browse, but it’s all overpriced and nothing really worth buying.

I ordered the Sampler plate which came with Sugar Glazed Ham, Meatloaf and Chicken and Dumplings. All entrees were acceptable in terms of taste and quality, but nothing terribly special. The plate also came with 3 side dishes which I did think was generous but like the main course, nothing here was terribly special either.
Service here was above average and I did like wandering around their attached shoppe. The southern theme was cool and the rocking chairs were a nice touch as well. I would return to a CB if the time and place were there.
