The food was okay at best. My pancakes were the furthest thing from fluffy. Ignore the trash but look at my fork standing staright up in the pancakes. Plus I do not like the fact that you can’t order the rainbow trout for breakfast.

Cracker Barrel is me and my mother’s go to lunch restaurant. All the meals have been fire!! I love the vintage decor throughout the restaurant. Plenty of conversation starters in there. But the food is too good to be talking. The service is exceptional. Shout out to Shelby at the Valley Station location. Great customer service is hard to come by these days. Food was good but seemed a little off from what they used to serve. Spent almost an hour waiting for food and service was very very slow. The staff just seemed short handed and was dealing with the hand they were dealt. Recommendation hire more people during peak or semi busy hours. Lastly reduce the amount of pepper is the hash brown casserole, we can always add to the served portion

My husband and I had lunch here today. It was a wonderful break from work. I had the chicken and dumplings. That is my favorite dish there and it didn’t disappoint. My husband had the roast beef and was equally pleased. Our server, Tina, was a delight. Friendly, fast, and efficient.

Lately, most things are good. Today (mid 2024) it was very good. I got the four-piece country fried chicken. I’ve had it before, and it was fine, but today it was some of the best chicken I’ve had for years.
Their cornbread muffins are my favorite thing. They are savory, not cake-sweet, and cooked perfectly.

Our server was kind, and thy atmosphere was relaxed, but the service wasn’t exceptional. Several of us were disappointed in our food. My husband got a steak, which was a little dry and not very flavorful. I liked the cooked carrots, but the grilled chicken tenders (like much of our food) were just OK. Cracker Barrel is known for homestyle comfort food, and apparently the rest of their menu is nothing to write home about.
