The service was great but the food wasn’t. We tried cracker barrel again, despite never having a good experience there, because we wanted some country cooking. I ordered the fried catfish, turnip greens, and pinto beans. The fish was very overcooked with no flavor and the greens had a funny taste. The only thing that tasted good was the carrots my wife got and the hush puppies. Very disappointed.

Catt was my waitress, she sets the highest standard for service. Not every establishment will have a Catt that’s for sure. Sweet smile on the ball and easy to work with. If I needed it she was there to help. This is the kindest waitress I’ve ever had while out eating. Further more her attitude was extremely positive which is something you can not teach. Would 100% recommend asking for catt when visiting Cracker Barrel old country store.

Great experience. Service was awesome, food was great and came out incredibly fast. Clean bathrooms, good atmosphere. Really hate that I’m going to get an AI response to this, as it’s lazy from Cracker Barrel corporate and makes the great experience in person feel kind of lame when the corporate culture doesn’t care about personal experiences. Beans & Rice and southern dish that is not available here! The new menu is great, they added rice as a side. They already had beans. They added Beans & Greens as a dish, but the computer system will not let them alter the Beans & Greens for Rice.
Then our waitress (Tekeyla) suggested a veggie plate, but that is four veggies. I commented that I’m an old man, I can’t eat that much. Tekeyla suggested a kids veggie plate. And that was perfect. It was better then what we usually do, and that is wife orders a meal with little bitty sides. This was so much better, thank you Tekeyla.
Our host Karen was great and we noticed after we were sat another family with a little boy. The little boy was needing some attention and Karen brought out a basket with biscuits and instantly the boy had an attitude change.
The cooks for cracker barrel are the hidden gems of cracker barrel. The flavor is always great. A little salty sometimes for us non-salt eaters looking for the flavor of the food. But other then that every meal is awesome.

My sister, Summer, and I went there last night as a late Christmas get together and we had a wonderful experience. The food was awesome. My sister had the NY steak and I had the Cinnamon French Toast. Great delicious food. Most of all was our service. Our waiter, Cadeon great personality and great smile. Wonderful person. Wanted everyone to know he is a great fit to the Cracker Barrel Family. Thank you. Great experience.

For years I have traveled across this country eating at Cracker Barrel and for years they have been in steady decline in all areas from food and service to atmosphere. I had all but given up until today. Not wanting to stop in Birmingham my nephew and I reluctantly visited the Jasper location.
It was like a flash back to the Glory days of Cracker Barrel. The location was immaculately clean, the service was fast and friendly. The food was on point and even the game was back on the tables. I was reminded today of why I fell in love with Cracker Barrel in the first place. Great job Jasper, keep it up!
