This should be illegal to serve MiCROWAVED food! Definitely will be calling health inspectors here. We spent 100+ dollars for our food and had the worse experience. You can tell they do not have the proper equipments here and is definitely false advertising for business!! We were charged a $10 consumption fee to smoke our own blunt (so foolish) . Then the inexperienced so called waiter at the front added his own tip to our order which is illegal in the state of NJ (we figured it out after we paid) …the crab legs were so hard to crack and the meat was rubbery! TERRIBLE . The food tastes like it was whipped up in a basement kitchen and served to us . The wings tasted like frozen Buffalo wings that was MICROWAVED! They literally took a stick of butter and melted it on top of my seafood then sprinkled ole bay seasoning on top to look decent. There was no official napkins ….looks like the paper towels were cut by scissors…no gloves, no bibs, no utensils to crack the crab with . The FRIES WERE SO HARD IT ALMOST BROKE OUR TEETH. Honestly it would’ve tasted better if it was air fried rather than MICROWAVED! Y’all my experience here was Horrible . The place was empty and the recent pics online definitely did not look like the place. The last good sets of pics here were from 2021 . This is DEFINITELY A SCAMMING BUSINESS! Do not be fooled!

I recently visited Crabs on the Way and had an amazing experience! The atmosphere was casual and fun, with a live DJ and hookah available. I loved that it was BYOB, which made it even more affordable. The seafood lobster boil was delicious and fresh, and the staff was friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a great seafood boil experience.

No menu, no QR code, just Instagram and vibes. After ordering food to go and asking for a bag: “I was just being nice bringing your food over to the table because you were sitting here. The bags are by the counter.” This is the craziest statement I have ever heard at a restaurant. The waiter did me a favor by bringing me my food that I paid for. I go to the counter and I have to bag my own food because the cashier is overwhelmed by minute tasks (none of the things he needs is readily available). The owner needs to create a better system. Hire people with excellent customer service experience. Train workers how to prep for their shift. Have a checklist. Have supplies readily available for staff. Just get organized.

Food was fantastic. Service was good. There’s a cork fee and a smoke fee (420 friendly). Only downside was they allow children in. That can def kill a smoke vibe. Dj was great as well.

The service was okay, it could’ve been way better. I do not like how the restaurant does not have any menus. I’ll rate the food an 4/10, due to it being salty and overly drenched in butter. The food took along time to come out as well.

Finally gave this place a try. When I think seafood boil, I’m thinking boil in a bag all seasonings inside. This was not it but food was good. They need to advertise it’s a BYOB which I didn’t know. They only have three options for drinks; Sprite, Ginger ale (cans $3) and special tea which was REALLY good. There is an additional charge for extra butter which I declined. There were four different options for food but only 1 can be purchased as there was no lobster. They open at 3 arrived at 630 and they ran out of lobster. There should be more food options for that reason. The young lady who waited us was very nice. 4/5 for me as it’s worth $25. I just recommend more food and soft drink options and let it be known on the IG page that it’s a BYOB! As for the hookah, only one flavor option Blueberry Mint and no issues with that!

Listen, let me start by saying that I really want to support this spot. My girls and I have been looking forward to coming for over a month. But I have never been anywhere that advertises messy food that you know you’re going to eat with your hands, and then don’t have the necessary things you need; no bibs, no plates, no wet napkins, no lemons and then had the nerve to not even have a working light in the women’s bathroom so we can see how well we’re washing our hands!!! We even had to ask for cups (even though it’s BYOB).

I’m all about Customer service, and I was wowed by the whole experience. Amber was the stand out to me her service skillset is top notch! The food was great, fairly priced and I didn’t wait long for my order to come out. I was particularly a fan of the imported spring water. The ambiance was great. The whole staff was welcoming and inviting. It’s BYOB and they even have hookah and a DJ There hasn’t been a quality establishment in Newark like this for a long time and with the way they’re doing business Crabs on thee way will be around for a long time and I’ll def be a frequent repeat customer. This little piece of heaven on the corner not only is it a warm place to sit and have a personal gathering with your family every single plate that came out one by one was made with love smelt good and looked amazing. This place is a place to where you can actually go and you know be yourself enjoy yourself without someone looking or feeling as if you’re being too loud, they don’t want you there. We had a wonderful time last night. I’m a little tipsy still however, I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a personal gathering with their family to anyone who wants to throw a special party. The prices on the food we’re just amazing and I am Big on the way. Presentation of food looks and every single play again that came out was beautiful beautiful I’m coming back to this place

I was so excited to try this spot and finally did over the weekend. The food was great, they didn’t have the crab wings that I wanted but the snow crab leg boil was so good. They don’t have any special sauces but the regular butter was fine. The Iced teas were so good too
