Great diner near NYU specializing in burgers. Lots of other stuff on the menu. They were nice about my food allergy and made me a nacho burger without the bun. They put chips on top and it looked like a cute Nachosaurus. The burger and guacamole layers were very tasty.

Eating here should be mandatory. This family owned and operated diner is one of my favorite places to eat in NY. The price alone of the food is unmatched. But then there is the actual food, delicious, made to order, done with pride and care, and served up by staff and owners who treat you like family. Stop by and get the pea soup, and a burger!

There aren’t many classic long time family owned diners left in NYC anymore. My family and I come here often because the owners treat us like family friends, and the food is yummy and comes quick. It also feels great to support a small business.

Amazing local diner vibe not overrun with tourists. Fast and efficient energy (in the best way possible). Extensive menu. French onion soup and the pizza burger were pretty good. Wish the fries were crispier.

I had dinner here a few nights ago, and the atmosphere is very charming with an old-school touch—a true American-style burger joint, worthy of the name. The staff was kind and courteous, and since I couldn’t decide between the various options, I asked for a recommendation. I have to say, I couldn’t have chosen better! Great prices for the area, and the burger was ready in just a few minutes. Highly recommended!

The cheeseburger was amazing — incredibly juicy, but not greasy. You can tell that all the ingredients were fresh. The split pea soup with croutons was comfort food in a bowl, definitely recommend getting it on a cold winter day. Their plain cheesecake was also really fresh. There are some places where you can taste that the cheesecake had been sitting in the fridge for too many days, but not here! It was creamy yet airy, not a dense cheesecake at all.

This place was amazing. John was so friendly & welcoming. Food came out quickly. Burgers, fries, & chicken tenders all 10/10. Ask for John’s special sauce, it won’t disappoint. Amazing food, amazing atmosphere, amazing people. We will be back next time we are in NY!
