The food was okay! I felt they did not use fresh ingredients for main dish and the drink. I got frozen watermelon margaritas, it teased overripe watermelon! But I liked the guac!

This place used to be the best in Fairfax, but things have been changing. Menu has changed significantly. Some margs gone, some changes to food. Shrimp appetizer was clearly not fresh…strong fishy smell…surprised they even served it. Service here has never been the greatest but last visit was horrible. Two young people. Suppose one was training but not sure which because they were both incredibly slow, absent. It’s sad…place was great and has such potential.

Food and service was fine, but we KNEW accidentally left our debit card there and came back within 30 minutes to check to see if it was there. The manager on duty said “they looked and didn’t find anything”. Then 24 hours later they called and said they had it… It would have been nice if they actually checked the checkbooks in front of us instead of shooing us away.

Had a great experience at coyote grille! Our server, AD, provided excellent recommendations and was very knowledgeable about the menu. The whole staff was very helpful and attentive and the energy was amazing! The manager Arte was also very kind and helpful. Definitely recommend the Chicken Chimichanga! Delicious food, friendly service, fair prices for the quality of food, and great location. Recommend the empanada. Even the salsa that comes with the free chips was amazing. Wasn’t watered down and had just the right kick. Burrito was above average. The beef inside tasted amazing but it was overloaded with sauces on top that made it impossible to eat with your hands like a Chipotle burrito. I guess that’s more authentic but not my style. Too saucy for my liking. Kids chicken tenders were average. Fries that came with them were above average. Generous portions. Tough for them to accommodate huge groups of 15+ since the restaurant is a humble size.

Decided to give Coyote Grille a try for Restaurant Week and was really blown away! Tried the ceviche as a starter and the Korean style tacos for the main. The ceviche was super refreshing and the Korean style tacos were super tasty and full of flavor – seriously they are the best! For desert, I got the blueberry pie which was the perfect finish (I hear they make the desserts in house too).

***Update*** Good follow-up from the manager on duty from the evening we visited. It means a lot for a business to read reviews and provide individual feedback, it shows they care about improving. Staff turnover and training is a struggle for any small business. Because of their desire to keep a customer and their effort to ensure customer satisfaction, we will return and give it another try. I truly appreciate the personal response.
