Okay so I work from 11pm-7pm and l
I have never really been a breakfast type of person although I have had breakfast from this establishment a few times since they took over from the previous owners and had nothing to complain about. But recently I have been craving their pulled pork eggrolls so I stayed up a little extra longer this morning before I have to go to sleep for another long night at work just so my husband and I can order some lunch we shared some pulled pork eggrolls while I had the pulled pork quesidilla with onion rings and my husband had the slaw burger with their hand cut fries (not pictured) everything was perfectly cooked for me my onion rings perfect I didnt bite into it and pull all the onion out of the breading my quesidilla didnt even need sour cream or salsa , our eggrolls definitely hit the spot for that time of the month good craving (I know I know t.m.i) and I tried a bite of my husband’s burger omg I wish I would have had some of the slaw on my quesidilla and the fries nice and crispy but not too crispy.

We had a wonderful breakfast today. The 1/2 stack pancakes were huge and fluffy with great flavor, not overly sweet. The French toast, thick cut bacon and sausage were also very tasty. Eggs cooked perfectly. They served us warm syrup (bonus) and butter that was actually spreadable (not frozen). Then we had a wonderful conversation with the owners. Lovely, down to earth people. We will definitely be back.

Their food was so comforting, like grandma’s hug. Our breakfast was delicious, generous portions, fluffy, crispy sweet pancakes, tasty smoked sausage ( somewhere between a mild andouille and a spicy kielbasa) amazing huge western omelette and cheesy good omelette with delicious thin sliced home fries with onions and a nice breakfast blend coffee.Friendly staff, jolly chefs, lots of parking around cafe. Will keep coming back for more!

Definitely not what I was expecting the burger came with chips which isn’t too bad for the price but the burger alone is where the problem came into play. The meat was very dry and bland tasting, the bun was way too firm for my liking. Now with the corn bites they were very tasteful. I just dont get whats going on here. Hopefully changes can be made.

Food was decent the biscuits and gravy was good don’t think the gravy was homemade. Sitting there talking saying we might come back. Until they bought the bill and there was an extra $3 charge on there for us sharing our breakfast. Granted it was on the sign when we came in but we did not look at the sign and the server did not mention it when we said we was sharing. Unfortunately we will not come back to this place. That $3 will go someplace else

First time there and the owners were extremely pleasant and friendly.
Breakfast was very good. The biscuits live up to their reputation.
We will be back.

Since new owners took over there’s no atmosphere the decor is terrible. There is no more Everglades seasoning on the table. Everglades is a local business so was nice to see previous owners support them. There’s no bullshit table anymore. Doesn’t seem like they want to hear what the customers want. Got rid of the damn sloppy joes too!! When was Sandy’s it felt very welcoming and I was a frequent visitor. The water doesn’t seem safe to drink.

Bit of Googling for a proper locals diner found this place, half an hour or so from my motel.
Fantastic fresh cooked omelette and a burger “sample” as the owners were trying out a new meat supplier.
New owners, super friendly and the staff were excellent.
Highly recommend if you’re on the 98 and looking for breakfast!

Upon entry you are greeted with a giant sign that tells you absolutely no outside food or drinks, including water. I suppose that is understandable, and then I found out why. When the tap water came out it was HORRIBLE. The water had an extreme chemical smell and taste. Clearly people have tried to overcome the horrendous water by simply bringing their own with them, but I guess they would rather keep customers away than let them drink their own water. Sure we could have ordered pop or coffee to cover the taste, but I wouldn’t want to drink whatever was in that water at all….not just cover it up. My kids walked out to the car to drink from their water bottles when they needed a drink. Its a shame too, this was a cute little place that I would absolutely go back to. The food was good, but the shining star was the biscuits, they were delicious.
Edit to change to 3 stars. I still say that if you know the water is bad, you should allow families to bring in personal water bottles instead of forcing them to either drink bad tap water, or pay for bottled water. This seems like a dirty way to squeeze an extra buck out of families.
