Wow! What an excellent restaurant. We chose it based on good reviews and it was even better than expected. My husband had an enormous plate of catfish, fries and excellent hush puppies. He loved the slaw. I had the buffet that was hot and fresh. It was near closing time and you wouldn’t expect such good food and variety. With salad bar and the best sweet tea, only $13.99. To top it off was banana pudding and some of the best peach cobbler you’ll find. Kellie was a super waitress, she takes care of you. Definitely give them a visit

“If you leave hungry, it’s your own fault.” – our great waitstaff.

It’s a buffet style diner with a drive- thru. The meat options were particularly good… especially that fried catfish! The salad bar and vegetable sides were not great.

Overall, it’s a safe bet for a cheap, fast, home-cooked meal 🙂

Went to get 2 orders for the buffet to go through the drive through window like done before and the young man took order. And we waited, and then after a period of time, the owner comes to the window and says they came and got me for some reason, don’t know. Then had to wait even longer just to get 2 buffets made, and there was 3 cars in the parking lot. The portions were not correct. The amount was unreal, paid 36, almost $37 and didn’t get the money’s worth the service was atrocious. I would not recommend eating it this place Especially for the money

Reminded me of a former family restaurant in our local town. We will visit the next time we go into the Mount airy area. The food was excellent!! Thoroughly enjoyed the Friday night fish fry and the Sunday morning buffet breakfast. All the options. All a good southern cooking with attention to detail from our servers.

Very friendly country home cooking type of food! You kinda have to like this type of comfort food imo! I’d say it’s a 2.5 star but I’ll give it 3 for drive thru option!

I love the burgers and potato wedges best! They give me the taste of nostalgia if that makes sense!

So it’s as good as it gets with this style of food for me…

They have a Big open room with a side buffet area on some days… lots of choices too!
They also have a drive thru!

complaints…
I wish it looked a bit nicer inside for atmosphere and some food can be cold as well as I wish they prepared it all fresh instead of day old food…you can tell by taste and appearance on a lot of food items and that they are canned or frozen items sadly.

I enjoyed a large bowl of pinto beans with onions; I wasn’t fond of the side of cornbread but I did enjoy the replacement biscuit that our server brought. Hubby thought his chicken club with bacon, tomato and extra mayo was good. The onion rings were slightly overcooked/greasy. Sweet tea was good/sweet enough but not overly sweet. Our servers were friendly and very attentive. There is a lunch buffet that we didn’t have.

A fantastic breakfast on Easter. You can never go wrong with country ham, eggs, and coffee. The service is what really stood out to me here. Respectful, charming, and attentive. My coffee was never empty and they never hesitated to ask if we needed anything else. Definitely coming back next time I’m in the area.
