Dropped by Sunday, and had the sliced brisket special (pictured). It was excellent. Easily cut the thick brisket with a fork.
Flavor was perfect (i didn’t even open the little bowl of sauce). The Baked mac & cheese and baked beans were great too. This is NOT a fancy restaurant, and the wait-staff are local kids (not benefitting from years restaurant experience, but doing their best to serve you).
Great food in a traditional southern BBQ Joint.

Stopped in on Sunday for lunch. The food was good and so was the sweet tea. The staff was friendly and the owner was walking around checking on the customers. They serve fresh local meats and my understanding is that they raise their own hogs and that’s the pork used in their restaurant. They also have a brewery. We will definitely be back!

Long time since I frequented Courtney’s due to bad food. The experience was again terrible food. The buns my brisket sandwich was like a cheap piece of mush. I would expect at a premium price the bun would at least handle a little meat juice. My partner got the burger. It was undercooked. How do you undercook and 1/4 inch thin piece of meat. The hush puppies were good and the beer was pretty on par for a heifenwizen. Fries where pretty flaccid and could have used a minute or more and they would have been great. The Brot bites, while over priced, were pretty good.
1 hour after leaving. After further discussion with my partner it was clear this Courtney’s is not worth the premium price. A burger at a fast food place is better than this place. The bbq I had was brisket. One tiny 1/4 slice no longer than 3 inches wasn’t worth 16 dollars.
TLDR; don’t go here. Go any place else and you would enjoy it better than this place.

Somehow we didn’t know about this place. Went on Sunday lunch time with party of 4. Everything was fantastic, cost 50$ for bbq sandwich’s, tenders, Philly sandwich, smoked wings. There Sunday menu prices were outstanding as well. Great original style vide. Look forward to trying more often.

Food was amazing, quick, great waitresses, sweet tea was actual tea and not watered down sugar, BBQ ranks up there with some of the best, greens were amazing. We will be coming back!!

We arrived later on a Friday evening. The waitress was very nice. We actually wanted to try Courtney’s because of a positive review on a local radio station. I was a bit surprised when I got there, it was quite busy and the staff seemed a bit confused. However, we got seated right away. The decor is pretty much bland. The booths were slightly run down and the cushions need repair. We waitress was super nice and seemed to know most of the folks there, indicating it is more of a local staple for the area.
The pot belly appetizer was good and the fried pickles were okay.
I got the Saint Louis ribs, baked beans and potato salad. The ribs had a sweet BBQ and good flavor, the beans were spicy which I also enjoyed, while the potato salad tasted okay, a bit like it came out of a bucket from the grocery store.
My wife got the 4 combo plate with the flounder, shrimp, pulled pork, and brisket with onion rings and white coleslaw. The pulled pork was the best. The brisket was thick cut and tasted more like pot roast. The fish was okay, while the shrimp breading was overpowering with pepper and tasted very fishy. The coleslaw was a bit vinegary also tasting like it came from a container.
In general, the prices were likely a bit high for the quality, even though there was a lot of food.
It seemed like a lot of folks were getting the food on take out. We might do this next time and stick with the ribs and pulled pork, which were excellent.
