It has been 20 years since we’ve been to the Country Squire Diner but as we were in the area we thought we’d stop for breakfast, we will not return. We should have realized that with only about 5 tables occupied, it wasn’t going to be a good experience.

Was there for breakfast at 10 am on a Sat. Waitress was very hospitable and food came out quick. All the staff seemed attentive and friendly with thier customers. I enjoyed a Farmers Skillet but needed to salt and pepper to get the flavors. Wasn’t the best breakfast I’ve had but it was good. The skillet looked small but was actually deceiving and very filling. I took half home. The omelettes were big. The restaurant is nicely done, quiet though busy, and roomy but just a tad cold for me as the air blew on me the entire time I was there.

My father in law used to work at this place many many many years ago. He says to this day that it is the only place he will never be eating at. He told stories of roaches in food and cooks spitting in soup as a normal day to day routine. My son and I were driving down west chester pike couple of weeks ago and decided to stop by. Years went by, they certainly got better, I thought. They didn’t. While I didn’t see roaches nor did I order soup, our food was beyond terrible. BEYOND! Almost uneatable. What 9 year old complains about chicken fingers? Mine did. They were terrible, almost cremated. Fries were old and hard as a brick. My brisket (can’t really call it that) was a thick cut undercooked bacon ( yes bacon or something that looked like it) with BBQ on top. Mashed potatoes were 100% out of box. Nasty. There was nobody in the restaurant besides two of us in dead silence. Owners and cooks lost their integrity long time ago and it’s a shame they never got it back. Needless to say, we are never going back!

Dined in, the food was good but staff was yelling at each other in front of customers. We ordered a kids french toast which was supposed to come with a (free) drink and was 2.49 extra for bacon. When the bill came we were charged for the drink and the bacon was 5.99. I brought this to their attention at the register and was told if i wanted my bill fixed i had to pay cash. I had no cash on me and refused to pay for an incorrect amount on my card. They got the manager who was clearly annoyed that he had to come make an adjustment he didn’t address me once. Overall aggressive atmosphere and they’re overcharging hoping people don’t notice.

Server Rich was fantastic. Personable and efficient. Snapper soup and French onion very nice and piping hot. Chipped beef apparently a big seller and for a reason- large portion, fresh and tasty. Meatloaf and mashed potatoes was delicious probably the best diner meatloaf I’ve ever had

I was visiting out of town with family after church service my parents and I came to this restaurant was demanded where to sit by the cashier lady and then waited about 15 mins and never got waited on the waitress seen us started cleaning a table right aside if us and another couple came through and the waitress asked them if they wanted coffee so we walked out we were treated very arrogant and I know I will not return to this place of business! There’s no excuse for ignorance..

The parking area is huge which is nice for big cars especially when they are busy. They have a front seating area and then a back banquet hall so you won’t really ever have to wait for a table unless they have a huge rush.

This place is amazing and everyone was awesome. Our server Rich was especially wonderful, friendly and attentive. He kept our waters and coffees full, and makes one hell of a mimosa!!!
