We were in the area doing estimates and decided to stop. Note, when you walk in it’s eerily empty. You should immediately turn around and walk out, but we were hungry. I ordered a waffle with chocolate chips and bananas, this is what I got. I used to work in food service for many many years and these are the waffles that you microwave. This was not a fresh waffle. It was hard to cut without knife and it tasted like cardboard with sugar. These waffles had chocolate sauce and bananas, it was honestly disgusting. My hubby got a breakfast burrito with cheese shredded on top. You clearly could tell it too had been microwaved, as the cheese looked hard. Our waiter was annoying because no sooner had he delivered our food, he came over with the check and done to go boxes? Maybe he was trying to tel us to hurry up and leave, I’m African American and hubby is Mexican , probably too much Melanin to handle. I would not recommend this place at all.

Country Squire Diner is a little gem that feels like stepping into a cozy, vintage postcard. Warm, inviting, and comfortably nostalgic, it’s the kind of place that makes you want to linger.

The staff was genuinely lovely—especially our waiter, Rich, who was attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home from the moment we sat down.

My partner and I started with the fried pickles and mozzarella sticks, both perfectly fresh and crispy. The mozzarella sticks delivered a chef’s-kiss cheese pull that absolutely deserved a photo. For our mains, my partner ordered the brisket, which was incredibly tender and full of flavor, while I went with the cheesesteak—hearty, satisfying, and honestly one of the best I’ve had.

Whether you’re stopping in for a full meal or just coffee and dessert, this spot is well worth your time. Delicious food, welcoming service, and the kind of atmosphere that makes good company feel even better. Highly recommend—don’t miss it.

I’ve been to The Country Squire Diner a few times now, and let me tell you…the food is good! Not “good for a diner.”
Not “good for a quick bite.” Just good, full stop!!!

Ohhh honey…my non‑Italian Nonna would’ve said Deliziosa!
Since I’m French, I’d say délicieuse!!
And the original Greek owners would proudly declare υπέροχος!!!
Different languages, same truth: DELICIOUS!!!!

It was around 10 am this past Friday. 10 a.m. on, I was out working, minding my business, when suddenly a craving hit me like a divine message from the Pasta Gods….linguine alfredo.
At 10 a.m.
On a Friday.
Because, why not.

I walk in, and Stupendous Steve looks at me like he’s been waiting his whole life for this moment and says,
“Yeah, I got you!!!!!”
Instantly, I felt like a Reine (queen) about to be served her royal bowl of creamy glory!

And when that plate arrived?
Silence.
Reverence.
A spiritual experience.
Five out of five tummy pats, no hesitation!!

So next time you get a craving for something ridiculous at a ridiculous time, park your horse at The Country Squire. Tell them Aube (Dawn) sent you.
And when they ask, “Dawn who?” You say…
“Ridicule. Dawn est la fille qui mérite 5 sur 5 pour les caresses sur le ventre.”

By the way…
I don’t speak French.
I speak Google Translate!

Have been there several times over the years. Food has been hit and miss but sometimes a diner is just a quick inexpensive option and I never went there expecting gourmet cuisine. But after having my cousin’s funeral luncheon there a few years ago I won’t be back. The experience was bad enough that seeing an ad for Country Squire online made me want to write a review to hopefully spare others from an experience like my family had.

My cousin passed away tragically a few years back. I was trying to help my aunt and offered to work on arranging the funeral luncheon. We were expecting about 2 dozen people for the luncheon.

My aunt and cousin were “chosen family” with my cousin being my aunt’s only child and only blood family member in this country. I spoke several times to a manager about how many people we were expecting, choosing a limited menu (sodas and iced tea, salad, 2 entree options, and a dessert if I remember correctly – this was partially done as there was a budget which is why we chose a diner in the first place). We discussed pricing and details and I checked in a couple times in the days leading up to the event as the manager seemed distracted when talking to me and seemed annoyed by my questions and I wanted to make sure everything went smoothly with as little stress for my aunt as possible. My aunt and mother called about paying a deposit and met with the manager in person a couple days before the funeral and reviewed what I’d told them I’d arranged to make sure the restaurant was prepared.

On the day of the event, the manager was not present and the staff (I don’t blame them) had no idea what was going on. Besides there being a table ready the staff did not know about the menu selections and seemed stressed and confused. I’m not sure they even knew that this was a funeral initially and not just a large group reservation. Basically guests were supposed to be told what was included to avoid going over budget. This didn’t happen and the waitress started asking the people who arrived early what they wanted. Someone asked if they could order hot chocolate and were told they could order whatever they wanted. Several ordered hot chocolate. I pulled a staff member aside to let them know about the menu and apparently the staff was never informed.

After the hot chocolate incident, the staff tactfully let people know they could order sodas or tea and that salads would be arriving shortly as the kitchen scrambled to prepare them for the group. There was so much dressing on the salads that you could see it pooled at the bottom of every plate and when my salad was placed in front of me it easily overflowed onto my clothing. I didn’t blame the server who was very apologetic but this seems to be the result of the poor staff being stressed and rushing due to lack of communication from their manager. As the dressing was oil-based I was unable to get the stain out.

I think the rest of the food was ok. I remember having chicken parm and it was pretty good, but I was livid over how the restaurant’s management handled our reservation. I’m still shocked thinking back. Will never return.

I ordered dessert for my wife and they sent me a completely random set of deserts that were not my order. I called and talked to them. They lied about calling me ahead of time and then pawned it off on the delivery and said they were willing to do nothing. In their view they got their money and sold food nobody wanted so they were fine. Didn’t care their customer waited 1hr and got screwed. We go there every Sunday. No more. They don’t care about customer service so buyer beware.. these guys don’t care about their customers receiving their order…. They could have fixed it but they used the deliver as an excuse. Hid behind it…. Using what ever they could to keep their
Money.

Came here with some older relatives and everyone enjoyed themselves. Food was really good from the apps to entree to dessert. And the waiter was really good too. At one point he came over to check on us while we were in the middle of prayer, not only did he wait for us to finish but he bowed his head while waiting. Super respectful young man. Looked like a hockey player, could play for the Calgary Flames

The Country Squire Diner in Broomall, Pa is outstanding! It’s a family owned restaurant with very friendly and professional customer service. All the food is delicious, fresh and homemade. My waitress was so friendly and sweet her name is Anna. She gave me great suggestions on specials and took excellent care of me. I highly recommend this diner and Anna!!

The parking area is huge which is nice for big cars especially when they are busy. They have a front seating area and then a back banquet hall so you won’t really ever have to wait for a table unless they have a huge rush.

Breakfast combos are pretty good, they have all the pretty simple egg, bacon, pancake combos that you would want.

Service was fast and the waitresses were quiet but always polite.

Bathrooms are nice as well, very classy.

Being my first time there, I was surprised at the interesting specials including the spicy chicken and waffle I ordered. It was Saturday, and understandably crowded, so the wait was long. I anticipated the traditional crunchy fried chicken that comes with waffles, but instead it was a thin grilled and seasoned chicken cutlet..disappointing but it tasted pretty good..till I got about halfway through the chicken and realized it was raw. The waitress immediately took it and said she would bring me a fresh plate..cool right? Well I was short on time and asked that it be boxed to go. When I got home and went to eat I saw they gave me a new waffle, but I guess they finished cooking the chicken that remained, and gave me some kind of other breaded chicken with it instead of making another piece of chicken (which was not big to begin with)..and all of it looked gross. Funny thing..the waitress said that the manager made it himself..smh!! I don’t know if this is the standard, but I definitely won’t be returning! *edit..I did not cut up the chicken, for some reason on top of adding the other weird chicken, they cut it all into pieces..I’m not sure if it was to hide the texture difference or what .. ‍♀️
