Loved this place since I was a kid, and I stop by every time I’m in Lakeland, but the food is getting worse everytime, the oil is being overused and cross containmented fish, chicken and fries are being cooked in the same oil and tastes the same, the larger the staff the slower and older the food is..their soda is my favorite….Trash I forgot and went back. THEY DONT GIVE AF… old chicken soggy fries almost 30 mins… Lakeland deserves better

First off let me start by saying that this place used to be the best place to get food from. Now I don’t have a clue what going on I pull through the drive and no one took my order I had to pull up to the window. And when I get there their’s this gentleman and he said laughingly that he doesn’t work there and ask me what I wanted to eat so I gave him my order and which it cost me almost $12 dollars which is not a problem but to get my food and it look like a hot mess is another thing the chicken sandwich that I ordered was a chicken tender sandwich with enough mayonnaise to send you to the ER and my 1/2pound of chicken livers that wasn’t cooked all the way was icing on the cake will definitely not go back there period

After 22 years of living in Lakeland, I finally tried country chicken and fish today. I have to say, I don’t know if the holy grail has a taste, but this must come pretty close.  My wife and I both had fish sandwiches. Portions are HUGE! You know a place is a good value when they have to tape the box closed. The okra tastes like they bread it in house. Now we can’t wait to go back and try the chicken.  I had no idea what I was missing!!

Tonight I got the chicken liver dinner for myself and the fish sandwich combo for my husband. They were both absolutely phenomenal. The fish sandwich was huge, flavorful and perfectly cooked. I already knew the chicken livers are the best around, but also the Mac and cheese is to die for. And although they were very busy when I arrived, I still got efficient, friendly service. Love this place.

This neighborhood spot is a very good choice to get some good fried fish and chicken. This place is always busy and ther eis a line that moves fast. Since the food is made to order, there is a wait but you will not be disappointed. This is only for take out because there is nowhere to wait but in front of the restaurant. I wish they would maybe get some chairs or a shaded area to wait for your food close by so you can hear them call you when the food is ready.

I wanted to try something different today for lunch & decided to go to Country Chicken ‘n Fish. Baby! Let me tell you…. THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!! I was greeted in the drive thru line by a very sweet lady name Angel. She was very, very nice & ensured my food would be cooked fresh. She didn’t lie! I got a 1/2 lb of gizzards, which were soooooooo good!! Just a tinch too salty, but they were cooked fresh & they were very tender. I also ordered the 3 piece chicken dinner with mashed potatoes & gravy & mac & cheese. I suspected that I’d get some baked mac & cheese that was cut in a square but not here!! I ate almost half the bag of gizzards by the time I made it home because they were so good! The fried chicken is the best I think I’ve ever had. It was cooked fresh; crispy on the outside & juicy on the inside. I know people have complained about the customer service & the food here, but I have NO complaints! I will definitely be back!!

I have raved about thier fried chicken since the first and only time I had it. It is outstanding! I have been looking to going back there but wasn’t able to find it. I am so happy that I’ve found this place again. I am definitely going back. Talk about finger lickin good!! 2 thumbs up. And some toes too.

Just tried this place after seeing so many people lined up! It must be the fish cause it sure ain’t the chicken! I ordered 3 whole wings and fries for $10 and 3 piece dinner with 2 sides, green beans and slaw for $12 which I don’t mind paying for GOOD food but this was NOT and the hot sauce turned my chicken wings pink will not be returning
