Walking into this place seemed a little sketchy at first until we were seated and served. The place doesn’t have the best scenery… But the food was amazing! After previously eating terrible BBQ a couple days before this was like heaven. Everything was so tender it completely fell off the bone. The BBQ pulled pork sandwich is a go-to! They have 4 sauces that looked as if made in house on the table, honey mustard, a yummy looking vinegar, and a sweet BBQ sauce as well as a hot BBQ sauce. Not one complaint. They were all pretty delicious. All the food was decently priced, especially for what you get. This place is a go-to if you love delicious, authentic BBQ.

I go to Western Carolina University, which is about a 30 minute drive to Cherokee. Every time we go to see a movie in Cherokee, we come get BBQ at Country Boy and we love it! The staff is so friendly, the food is delicious (baked beans are the absolute best), and the experience makes you feel like you’re at home. Sure, it’s no fancy 5 star restaurant, but that’s what makes it so great. I highly recommend to anyone who enjoys trying new places that aren’t chain restaurants. We just so happened to stumble upon this small restaurant and I am forever grateful that we did!

Drove by at night and the smell was amazing from the smoker. Came in for lunch the next day and ate like a pig. The pulled pork, cole slaw, and potato salad were all fantastic. EVERYONE working was very very nice. We were given a sample of ribs and were blown away. My friend and I each took half a rack home with us the next day. I wish I lived locally because those were the best ribs I’ve had probably ever. The sauces were all great. I took home some hot sauce and I wish I had also picked up the mustard. I will detour through Cherokee on my next mountain trip just for the food here.

My husband and I ate here while vacationing in Cherokee and it was delicious! One of the best BBQ sandwiches I have ever had! The owner is so friendly and we had a great time talking to him- will definitely be back 🙂

Ok first I’d like to say I’m a big bbq person. I love eating pulled pork and pork ribs. The food smelled good when you drive by. But when you go inside it is not very sanitary. When we ordered I got a pulled pork plate with a side of fries. Well first they told me they were out of fries and I thought how do you run out of fries and then I ask for just a side of lays potatoe chips and they said they were also out of the chips. When my pulled pork first hit the table. I was not impressed the food IS AWFUL. The pork is very dry and the sauce did not taste right. I HIGHLY SUGGEST NO ONE EATS HERE

if I could take stars away I would. I have had some bad bbq in my days but this is by far the worst. I don’t care how much muck syrup you pour on it it only makes I all the more unappetizing. never going back, and never recommending it to anyone I like or know personally. the meat tastes boiled, not even with the courtesy of even crap seasoning, the sauce tasted like corn syrup, brown sugar and molasses, mixed cold. I’m glad to have not waisted money on sides, unfortunately we did buy 4 lbs of the stuff. I can only hope the neighborhood dogs will eat it. I’m too kind to give it to my own.

The Brisket was awesome and the service was great. Being from south Georgia I only had 1 problem the waiter was a south carolinia fan and the cashier a alabama fan. GO DAWGS!!!

This was awesome food!!! Although the outside does not look the greatest, this place was a diamond in the ruff. The staff was very warm and courteous. Service was quick and the order was processed accurately. I plan on going back to this place when I’m in the area.
