Acclaimed French cafe where elevated Provençal fare is presented in cozy country-style surrounds.

My wife and I visited for Valentine’s Day and had a wonderful experience. Sue ordered the Dover sole, which was expertly filleted tableside by our professional and helpful waiter, Claude. Though listed as a special, Claude mentioned it’s a staple on their menu. I opted for the Loup de Mer, which was terrific—served in a unique, very tasty sauce of tomatoes, olives, and raisins. The ambiance is quaint and authentically Provençal, with service that strikes the perfect balance. The only drawback is the price point – it is quite expensive, even by Naples standards.

So much to love about this place! The decor is charming. As soon as you are seated they bring you warm ciabatta bread with an olive oil dip. The escargot and the duck are the best you will ever have. Excellent service as well.

Enjoyed a wonderful dinner last night with our first time at Côte d’Azur. It started with a basket of warm ciabatta (bread) served with a dipping bowl of EVOO, excellent balsamic, fresh herbs de Provence, and a sprinkling of fresh Parmigiana. Excellent!
Three of us all ordered Seafood Carigout, which was outstanding. A generous serving of PEI mussels, loup de mer (branzino), octopus and shrimp, simmered in their own juices with white wine, garlic, shallots, and fresh tomatoes. It will be difficult to not order the same thing next time – we will be back.
Thank you Chef James Waller for the amazing food! And thank you Paloma for the impeccable service.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! All things fabulous! No complaints. FINE dining. Highly recommend-French restaurant. Had the crispy duck-house specialty and most popular dish-phenomenal. The house bread with oil, balsamic and herbs is to die for. Hubby had filet. He said it was good. Had a group of 12, and they accommodated us just fine outside, and still felt intimate and very comfortable. Inside is so Cute! Most people ordered duck. No one else had any food complaints. Had profiterole for dessert. LOVE! The chocolate sauce was SO yummy. Service and food justifies the steep prices. Will be back.

The restaurant is between a rental car and salon & Publix with a dress codes (just collared shirt) but the food is good and Tony is a blast and the food portions are HUGE. According to Tony, many famous people have dined at the restaurant including some Famous President and Vice President. Well, we just went for the food. 🙂 The wine list was not a book but I was able to find a Burgundy and Italian wine that we liked for about $200. The Octopus appetizer was the best that I tasted in North America. Main lobster was good without the shell in a light sauce but personally I like to eat were I have to work to get the meat out. It is a surprise to see Crispy Duck and they serve half of a de-boned Duck. The sauce was perfect for the Duck. Escargot and Artichoke appetizers can be skipped. Hudson river Foie Gras is very fresh but could be pan seared little more on the outside. Now 6 chops of Colorado lamb really impressed me. The quality of the lamb is excellent but the chef didn’t melt any of the fat on the lamb and personally I prefer the fat to melt so the meat will be more flavorful. The filet mignon was a disappointment on the tenderness and the peppercorns sauce. The biggest surprise was the baked Sole fish. It is a whole fish and the server will de-bone it at your table. It was simple and fresh and good. Good news is that they didn’t serve any mash potatoes with added Cauliflower. 🙂 Dessert menu was not very exciting but it is understandable since the portions are so big. I could not give a 4.5 stars but we do recommend this restaurant if you are in town.

For an appetizer, wife had their escargot (excellent) and I had French onion soup (okay but not great). For the main course, I had the crispy duck. My wife had a quail special that was very good. The duck was never crisped but was dry as if they tried to crisp it but couldn’t and dried it out and this made it tough to chew. (I’ve never had dry duck before) We talked after dinner and will not go back.

Wow, just came home from a wonderful meal at Cote D’Azur. The owner and Chef, James Waller, has created a delicious menu from the south of France with an atmosphere and feel of as small restaurant in downtown Paris. Our waiter, Eddie, was attentive, friendly, and helpful explaining the menu and various specials. I will definitely be a repeat customer and will make sure all my friend know about this gem of a restaurant.

Outstanding gem of a dining experience in North Naples, the best in the area! The service was impeccable in this locally owned, bistro style restaurant. The theme is French/Mediterranean, with a flare all it’s own.
Service was top notch: attentive and informative without being too intrusive. We had the sparkling water, a Bellini, and a lovely Pinot Noir to start, along with freshly baked warm bread served with EVOO/balsamic vinegar/french herbs/parmigiana cheese for dipping.
For appetizers, we had the Cassolette D’Escargots, and these are not your ordinary, rubbery, overbaked escargot on a white dish, not here. There escargots were served cassolette style, braised/simmered in a delicious butter, garlic and herb sauce that added immense flavor and kept the little fellas tender and tasty. Also for appetizer, we had the Rougie French Foie Gras. This was outrageously delicious. The Foie Gras melts on the palate with creamy richness that’s an experience in and of itself; this dish is accompanied by cranberry chutney, toasted brioche, a glazed bosc pear and a port wine cassis that perfectly complement the creamy richness of the foie gras.
For the main course, we had one of the specials, Lobster served on Angel Hair Pasta with Mussels, and, Roasted Crispy Duck. The Angel Hair with seafood was cooked to perfection with a flavor profile that explodes with the taste of the Mediterranean! The duck was a boneless, roasted half duck; the skin was deliciously crispy and made a nice contrast for the tender duck meat underneath. The duck was obviously rendered during cooking, so it didn’t have that fatty component you can get with a duck. It was perfection!
Lastly, for dessert with had the Profiterole, vanilla gelato sandwiched in a crispy french pastry, smothered in a rich Belgian chocolate sauce. We also had the Mousse Au Chocolate, which my wife didn’t want to share with me (I did get a taste though). Both were a wonderful finish to such a sumptuous meal.
Kudos for Chef James Waller and his wife Darlene for having this restaurant and bringing such delights to the people of Naples. If you haven’t tried this restaurant before, go! Once you do, you’ll have a hard time not coming back again!

Excellent French restaurants featuring the cuisine of, or inspired by, Provence and the Côte d’Azur. I enjoyed the Cassolette d’escargots, a different way to serve this classic. The crispy duck was outstanding. The French bread was too good.
The booths are very nice for conversation, as otherwise the noise level can get quite load inside.

We’ve lived nearby for many years and have always said that we wanted to try Cote D’Axur but never did and have no excuse. When we discussed where we wanted to go tonight we we thought of all the usual places but for some reason this popped up in our minds and we just had to try it. It did not disappoint!!! The food was amazing. This might have been the best meal (at least one of the best) we have had in Naples. The service was amazing and friendly (yes, at a French place!! lol). Now after missing out for 25 years, we will be back!! Thank you so much for the great evening and incredible food!!
