Reviews
Service was good, very attentive to everyone & the atmosphere was causal/relaxing.
@cornerstonebbq_redlands brought the meats. I had the Holy Trinity with pork ribs, brisket, and 2 jalepeno cheddar sausages. Sides were a corn salad and mashed potatoes.
All the meats were great. Cheddar dogs had a nice snap when you bit into them. Brisket had a glorious rub on it and a definite smokey flavor. Pork ribs were surprised meaty. I especially enjoyed the variety of sauces they offer, but let it be known that the meat stood on its own. Cornerstone was definitely on their game today.
The Meat: Warmth is Optional, Apparently:
I ordered the meat sampler, thinking it’d be a great introduction. It wasn’t.
The Ribs: For the price, getting only four ribs felt like a joke. Worse? They were barely warm.
Zero Seasoning: I literally touched the rib meat to my tongue to check for salt. Nothing. Seriously how do you not use a week seasoned dry rub on your ribs?! They clearly rely on the 3 sauce they have to mask the fact that the meat is completely unseasoned and one of their BBQ sauces was way too sweet.
The Rest: The brisket was sliced paper-thin, the chicken was boneless (hardly BBQ in my book), and the pulled pork was forgettable.
The One Bright Spot: The only thing worth eating was the jalapeño cheese sausage. It was flavorful, spicy, and clearly made in-house (I think). It’s a shame everything else couldn’t meet that standard.
The Sides: A Lack of Love
The Mac and Cheese was the most disappointing part of the tray. It was dry, bland, and lukewarm—it felt like it was made with zero love. The Cornbread was even worse. It tasted pre-cooked and sat in oil far too long, resulting in a weird texture with no sweetness or corn flavor. The rolls were store bought. The only hot thing on my plate? The fries. Thank God for the fries.
Service & Atmosphere
The Setup: Don’t expect a sit-down experience. You have to order at the counter yourself. Music was bland country.
The Vibe: The staff seemed like they’d rather be anywhere else. The bartender didn’t smile once, and the front desk was indifferent at best.
The Drink Situation: If you want fresh sweet tea to wash down your BBQ, look elsewhere. They only serve Pepsi products.
The “Dino Rib” Trap: Don’t show up on a weekday expecting the big ribs you see online; they’re a weekend-only gimmick.
The Verdict: When a BBQ spot can’t even get the temperature or season their food, it’s a sign they’ve stopped trying. I won’t be back.
