We were visiting the area after a vet appointment that ended with a family pet not making it. We needed to get some food and ordered in a rush without making sure that the order was correct. The front staff was not very kind but the manager offered to help and was very understanding.

Corner Bakery was one of my favorite places back in the day but in recent times, it’s just meh. The service was ok- don’t expect any smiles or greetings… not that it’s required, but it helps for a more inviting environment. They weren’t rude- they were just not engaging.

Corner Bakery has the vibe of a once-better Panera, but fading with age. The menu is great, the value fitting with current market prices and the ambience is as decent as the next place. The salads lack the freshness of years past and the sandwiches are a bit thin on substance for the price. You won’t rush to delight with this particular location, but it gets the job done in this limited plaza. The one stand-out is the cavatappi mac and cheese. Decent portion and a delightful pasta shape for holding melty cheese.

App was not working and tried calling but one picked. When I went inside they were all sitting at a booth and just stared at me so I was unsure if it was still open. Then their credit card machine broke and I had to pay cash. Also online it listed the family special was available but in person they said they didn’t have it. After I got my food there was so much oil. But at least it was fresh and steaming when I got it and tasted good.

Literally the worst run food establishment in the fairfax area.. an absolute disaster, no one speaks or understands English so it’s a guarantee something will be made wrong, and if there’s more than one person in front of you in line you will be waiting an extremely long time to even order in the first place. They charged us for something we didn’t order. Then the manager said they did not keep transactions in their register when we said they’d made an incorrect/illegal transaction….but the transaction was taken out of our bank account.
