Social Profile:

We are a quaint restaurant on main street with an amazing selection of over 340 fine wines and craft beer. We are also a retail shop for wine and beer along with growler service to craft beer on tap. Our best kept secret is a delicious thoughtful food menu but our best feature is an amazing team. We offer online sales with curbside pickup and payment as well. While we have a great family environment, we do not offer many amenities or services for young children.

Wow!! They had multiple Gluten Free options on their menu. The manager said they even have a separate station for preparing GF food.
I was surprised to see a GF crab cake. It tasted good but definitely had more filler than crab cake. I ordered the GF Charleston and all the flavors together were very tasty. We also ordered the GF Chicken Alfredo. It was creamy, yummy and a large enough portion that we took some home.

We had the best time at this wonderful place celebrating our friend’s Birthday. The staff is amazing and everything we had was top notch! Our new favorite.

Cool place. Great staff. Not the greatest food. Our appetizer was good. My main meal was not bad. Great crab-cake, but dried out pan fried chicken and my wife’s shrimp and grits were served in a pool of oil.

Also wouldn’t recommend the OCD Sauvignon Blanc. Probably the worst NZ Savvy B I’ve had.

Would go back for drinks.

Cork & Ale is such a great spot! The food is always delicious, the staff are friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to stay and relax a little longer. Definitely one of my favorite places to eat in Waxhaw!

Food is terrible. Service is slow.
I got the pasta Alfredo and it was orange. Waitress told me it was blackened. I said the chicken was supposed to be blackened on top and it was all mixed together. It was terrible. Took forever for drink refills and couldn’t get salt and pepper.

Really neat experience. Good list of wines by the glass and great selection of bottles. Service was very good. The space is tight but cozy. We ordered the dip and charcuterie board and both were excellent. The pasta special, salad with salmon along with a panini were all very good. However, stay away from the chicken and mushroom flatbread. Looks like a dessert and covered with balsamic glaze. Not a good mix of ingredients.
We will be back.

We loved it! There are tons of interesting drink selections. My husband and I enjoyed a little private beer tasting by ordering 2 flights and sharing. What a delight! The food was delicious. Specifically, I enjoyed the vegan chicken sandwich, so yum. To quote our server, it’s really “done right!” My husband had the sliders and also loved them.
The owner, Bernard, was on site—very personable and friendly. It’s clear he cares about the quality of experience each patron has. Can’t wait to go back with our adult kids!

Went to cork and ale with a friend Wednesday night, arrived about 6 and it wasn’t crowded. It’s a small cozy place with a small-medium indoor space and small patio. Sat on the patio. Got the mushroom pasta special (which they split for us to share) and a mixed greens salad (also split to share) (so portion pictured of both is half. Everything was delicious. Also got a couple draft sours and my friend got a cocktail. Service was good. Will definitely be back.

Great vibe, poor service and below mediocre food.
The bretzel was either over cooked or old and reheated. Extremely hard and dry. The beer cheese for it was so liquified from probably sitting and poor taste. Got sliders for special of the day and the meat was very tough and the flavor to them was lacking. Was not checked on and had to go in for the check, ask three times to be acknowledged by one of the four employees behind the bar socializing with one another.

I always have a great experience here. From the food to the beverage selection to the people behind the bar. Shout out to Clarissa for a very high level of professionalism and friendliness.
